I HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN THIS FIC! I've just been really busy that I couldn't think of a plot to connect to the ending—I'm sorry it took so long! TT_TT

Over the course of the week, things have gotten less tense.

The Yin Tiger Tally has been destroyed with the combined efforts of Lan Xichen's Liebing, Nie Mingjue's Baxia, and Jiang Wanyin's Zidian. It was crushed into fine dust and scattered through the winds.

Mo Xuanyu was easily trusted, due to him being a kid and Zixuan treating him as a good older brother would. He stays inside the estate most days and does not bother with outdoor activities with the rest.

Wei Ying, at six months, is slowly getting into the groove of having a bump while working around. His core is getting stronger each day, and so is his unborn child. He often spends time in the kiosk by the Lotus Lake, eating seeds and meditating. Lan Wangji dutifully stays by his husband's side, playing his qin.

Out of the blue, Wei Ying gasps in surprise, halting Lan Zhan's usual qin playing.

"Wei Ying?" the man asks his husband worriedly, abandoning his instrument. "What is it?"

Wei Ying beams and stares up at Wangji with watery eyes. He tentatively takes his beloved's hand and places it on the bump. And they wait.

And wait.

And wait.

Until Wangji pulls his hand back in surprise, stumbling back onto the floorboards. His eyes are wide as he stares at the bump, then at a worried Wei Ying. He blinks rapidly before looking back down at the bump.

Wangji, shocked out of his mind, walks back to his husband and places his hand on the belly once more.

And there it is.

A kick.

It is so small, it is hardly even noticeable but it is there.

Wangji's eyes blur with tears as they build up in his eyes. He sobs and Wei Ying smiles down at his beloved before petting his long, obsidian-black hair. Lan Zhan wraps his arms around Wei Ying's waist and presses a watery kiss at the bump.

"My baobao," he whispers with a sniffle, his eyes rimmed with red as he speaks. "Such a strong one, you are. Just like baba," he caresses Wei Ying's back as he talks to the little one inside his partner. Wei Ying could not help but cry at the display of love before him. Lan Zhan lets go and sit next to him, drawing him close to his chest.

"Xin ai," Wangji kisses the top of Wei Ying's head. "Thank you for this miracle."

This prompts Wei Ying to cry harder in joy.

He had always wanted this.

A family, tied to him by blood.

And now he can have that.

Within him is a treasure, made out of love between him and Lan Wangji. This does not make A'yuan any less of his own, but still, there is a difference. Not very big, but it's there.

His mind drifts to A'yuan. This baby, A'yuan wants them to see him as a big brother. Not just a martial brother Wei Ying takes in as a student or a disciple, but a brother as if by blood. The same way Wei Ying was taken in as a sibling to Jiang Cheng and Jiang Yanli.
