Tom.

Her hair is spread out around her like a golden halo.  She is curled up on my bed, a bandage wrapped around her head from when that prick dropped her, but despite her bruises she is beautiful.  She stirs and I sigh, she'll be up soon, I better get some coffee ready.  I turn and walk out, making my way down the stairs and into my kitchen, and started preparing coffee.  As I grabbed mugs out of the draw I heard her sobs.
I found her curled up in a ball her hands shielding her head, shaking, crying.  I pulled her into a hug, her tears soaking my t-shirt.
"I was so scared."  She choked out, I just rubbed her back,
"Why did you help me?  You hate me,"  I closed my eyes and held her tighter.  I could never hate you.
"I don't hate you Autumn."
"Then why did you run?  Why didn't text back or answer my calls?" Because I was scared of falling.
"I don't know."
"Why did you help me?" I couldn't let them hurt you.
"I-" She pulled away from me, her blue eyes wide, her face tear stained,
"I missed you.  You obviously don't return the feeling." She stood up and pulled on her shoes,
"What are you doing?" She walked out of the door and I followed in pursuit, down the stairs and watched as she tried to open my front door, her motions grew desperate,
"Unlock the door Tom," I stayed quiet, don't leave.
"Unlock the fucking door!" I didn't answer, please don't leave me!  Her shoulders sunk and her head rested against my doorframe.
"Let me go." A tear slid down my cheek.
"Don't break me Autumn."  I whispered and she froze, slowly she turned around and looked up at me, her blue eyes welling up.  Her small hand came to my face, her thumb wiping away the lone tear,
"Let me go." No.  Another slid down.
"Stay."
"Why should I?" Her voice was soft.
"Because I'm lost without you." I closed my eyes as she kissed my cheek.
"Let me go." Her voice was strained this time.
"Why should I?" I mimicked.
"Because it I love you too much for it to be healthy." I opened my eyes and with shaking hands cradled her small face,
"I don't know what to do anymore." I whispered.
"Kiss me." So I did, and I had never felt so home.
