LEYLA'S POINT OF VIEW
A strange buzzing broke the peacefulness around me into pieces. Being more than half asleep, I ignored it as I shoved my head inside Max's chest inhaling his cologne. The spot was still so comfortable I couldn't find any strength to move a muscle. Yet, somehow, after a quite short pause, the same strange buzzing disturbed me all over again.
I felt Max's hand move down my back making me attempt to open my eyes, but a violent light hurt my sight, therefore I unconsciously closed my them again. In my second attempt to open my eyes, it took me a couple of seconds to realize the fact that Max and I were so close our noses were touching. He also proceeded to wake up as his blue eyes resumed the contact with mine from the moment we fell asleep. This view suddenly pumped adrenaline into my veins making me stand up almost immediately.
And then the reality hit me almost as hard as my headache due to the terrible hangover I was feeling. It was literally the middle of the day and the hurting light burning my eyes earlier was the sun. Still drowned in confusion, I heard the annoying buzzing in the background all over again.
"Is this your boyfriend calling?" Max questioned with a frowned look on his face while he was holding my ringing phone in his hand.
"What?" I snapped at him taking the phone. "Zane? It's my fucking cousin." I commented dropping the phone and collapsing back next to Max.
"I think he's worried about you." Max stated the obvious as the phone started buzzing again.
"Hello?" I sleepy answered rolling my eyes.
"LEYLA? WHAT THE FUCK? I CALLED YOU A THOUSAND TIMES! WHERE ARE YOU?" Zane shouted in despair as even Max was able to hear him through the phone.
"I'm on a boat." I shortly mumbled still holding my eyes shut.
"ON A WHAT? WHOSE BOAT? ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR GODDAMN MIND? ARE YOU DRUNK?" Zane hysterically continued to interrogate me not understanding the fact that I wasn't gonna have a whole story time with him right now.
"Look, I'll explain everything later." I unsuccessfully tried to calm him down as Max started laughing next to me.
"WELL YOU'D BETTER DO! WHAT WAS THAT? IS THAT A MAN LAUGHING NEXT TO YOU? ... "
"Zane! I'll call you later!" I said hanging up on him. "Oh my God... I just can't deal with him right now." I added attempting to stand up on my feet, but I was so dizzy I fell right back on the mattress. "Max, how drunk was I last night?"
"You were perfect."
"Hmm?"
"I don't know. I'm still drunk."
"I feel so weak." I whined as Max tried to also get up.
"You have to eat something." He advised making me shake my head.
"Well, where can I go? I'm in a full red gown with diamonds all around my neck wearing last night's makeup and... It's 12:00 AM." I stated after I quickly checked my phone.
"Let's get our wasted friends and go to my place. I live right next to the port and I also happen to have a sister who surely has some things left around my house, so you can help yourself with that until you get home." Max looked at me making me nod.
Shortly after, Max and I found ourselves giggling at each other as we noticed how wasted our friends really were. Daniel moved a little in his sleep making Max look at me and place a finger on his lips warning me to be quiet. Charles was snoring while Lando cuddled himself right by his side. On the other side of the yacht, Kenzie and Jass were still peacefully sleeping.
