Twilight had just finished cleaning up the books from her studying last night when she heard a knock at the door. After putting the last book in it's place on the shelf, Twilight turned to go answer the knock. She could already hear the voices of all her friends waiting outside as she trotted over to the door. When she finally opened the door, there stood Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash just as she expected. An instant smile crossed Twilight's features as she happily greeted her friends.
"Oh, hi girls," said Twilight, "What brings you here this morning?"
Applejack was the first to answer, "Well, uh, we all were a bit bored so we decided to visit ya and see if there's anything new goin' on. Like maybe we can go on 'nother adventure or somethin'...?"
"Ok then," replied Twilight as she stepped to the side of the doorway to allow her friends to walk in.
Twilight shut the door behind her friends after they all entered. Then she stood in thought for a moment before saying, "Where would we go on an adventure anyway? Not many strange things have happened anywhere recently, so there's no where I can think of, right off the bat, that we can go."
"How about we go explore the Forbidden Valley?!" challenged Rainbow Dash as she stood up on her hind legs to appear menacing.
"I don't think that's a good idea Rainbow Dash. As it name even says, the Forbidden Valley is forbidden. No pony is supposed to go there," Twilight stated matter of factly.
"I heard there are big scary things out there," added Fluttershy shyly as she began to cower at the images of monsters already filling her head.
"I agree with Fluttershy on this, because who knows what's out there," agreed Rarity as she trotted towards Twilight.
"That's what makes it so awesome! It's forbidden!" argued Rainbow Dash.
"Girls calm down. There's a chance we could go to the Forbidden Valley but we have to ask Princess Celestia first," Twilight said.
When Twilight had said that Spike almost immediately appeared by her side, a quill and scroll in his claws.
"Spike take a letter," Twilight spoke, nodding to the little purple dragon at her side.
'Dear Princess Celestia,
My friends and I were wondering if you would allow us to go and explore the Forbidden Valley for a day. I know we are not supposed to, but that is why I'm writing to you to ask. I'm sure you could make an exception for us, as we have faced many struggles in the past and prevailed. This adventure shouldn't be much different. Please consider.'

Twilight Sparkle'
After Spike had finished writing the request, he blew his green, sparkling fire and the letter was off to the Princess.
After a few minutes a responding letter from the Princess appeared, it read;
'Dear Twilight Sparkle,
I'm sorry but no exceptions are to be made for you and your friends, Twilight. The Forbidden Valley is extremely dangerous for ponies such as yourselves. Despite what you all have faced before, you are all not ready for what lies there. A time may come when you can go there but for now you are prohibited from doing so. Please heed my words.

Princess Celestia'
"She's being a bit vague there, don't you think? It sounds like she could be tryin' to hide somethin' from us, Twilight," Applejack commented in a concerned tone after the letter was read.
