After Dolores calmed down, Felix and Pepa put her in her room before they left. A dark cloud started forming above the woman's head again and she frowned. Felix looked at her with concern and grabbed at her hands.

"Pepi, what's wrong?" She glanced down away from his gaze and shook her head. "I should've known this would happen Felix... What kind of mother am I?" Felix glanced around the quiet house before pulling her to their room. He sat her on the couch before kneeling in front of her.

"Amor.."

Pepa's eyes began tearing up and she clenched her fist. "No Felix! This shouldn't have happened! Dolores is scared! If Mami would have just stopped insisting on another child, NONE of this would be happening!" She moved her hands to cover her face as the storm got worse. "She's not even 17 yet, Felix! And she's pregnant because she wanted to help me ! She knew when I had the miscarriage, she told me she heard when the heart beat stopped. "

Felix quickly wrapped his arms around his wife and she started to cry. "What if the same thing happens to her or worse?! What if we lose our baby? I can't do it Felix, I can't lose her too." Felix's eyes began to tear up as he placed his hands on her cheeks and made her look into his eyes.

"Pepa, we talked about this. What happened was not your fault. We both knew the possibilities of trying for another child at our age. We knew there were going to be issues. What happened was tragic, yes. But we are not going to lose our little girl the same way. Dolores is strong, she always has been."

He placed a kiss on the back of her hand and shook his head lightly.

"Dolores has always had a side of her that she's gotten from you, mi amor.. She's caring, and kind, and like me, she doesn't want to see you in pain. She loves this family, just like you do and she would go to great lengths to do what she can for them, she already has. And I'm just upset as you are about this but there isn't much that we can do now. This is Dolores' life, all we can do now is help guide her in the right direction, a better direction."

Felix gave Pepa a small smile and got one back in return as the storm subsided only slightly. The redhead sighed. "I still should have known that she would've heard something. That's her gift after all, I should have been more assertive with Mami. She's been so controlling even before my brother left. She hasn't changed, and now Lola is being affected by it."

Felix nodded his head and started running his hands through the tall woman's hair to help calm her down as he sat beside her. The rain reduced to just a light drizzle and the cloud lightened up a bit more as it remained silent between them.

She placed her head against her husband and grabbed at his hand and gave them a squeeze. "I don't want Mami anywhere near Dolores anymore. She's caused too much pain for us as it is, if she finds out Dolores is pregnant she's going to become more controlling. I won't let our daughter and grandchild go through what we have. Not again."

Felix hummed and kissed her forehead and wrapped his arm around her. She gave him a smile and turned to kiss at his lips as the clouds finally cleared away. "Gracias mi amor, I don't know what I would do if you weren't here with me."

The short man gave her a bright smile and nudged her. "I meant what I said on our wedding day, Pepi. From the sunniest days, to the wildest of hurricanes, I will always be here to love you, mi vida. "

He got up and grabbed her hands and bought her over to the bed, and they laid there holding each other. He turned his gaze to her and caressed her cheek. "...We are going to be grandparents, mi amor." she gave him a light smile and grabbed at his hand again.

"We are going to help her through this."
