ang Haru or Hana in male disguise was still lost in thought as Jungwon slowly turned to the newcomer, her eyes skimming over the painting without concentrating on the background but focusing on the details.

"Woah! I'm sorry, I didn't know it was yours... Did you paint it yourself?" she asked, making sure to deepen her voice.

"Would you please look at him to be polite?" Jungwon laughed, and Haru couldn't help but find it endearing.

She took a deep breath, her mind caught up in the dilemma of facing the other boy. Obeying Jungwon's words, she turned around, her gaze coming to rest on the profile of a figure standing in the doorway.

Something about the set of his shoulders or his confident stance drew her gaze, but she didn't realize she was staring until he turned towards her, revealing his face.

Her body froze, heart constricted, blood ceased to pump. Her eyes must be deceiving her, but she knew the truth.

She could find him in any crowd; she would never forget him.

She would recognize that smile and those eyes anywhere, even though it had been years since she had last seen him this close.

Nishimura Riki.

"So, as you might know, I'm Jungwon, and he's the one named Ni-ki, but our last roommate should be here any minute," Jungwon said, glancing at his watch. "Just five minutes more."

"Oh, okay. My name is Bang Han... Ba-Bang Haru," she said, almost slipping in her real name as a female.

"We already know. Ms. Hwang told us," Jungwon started, but was cut off by the door opening.

"And then I was like, why would I sacrifice my teokkboki for that - Woah, Hwangie, there's the new student!" a fox-eyed boy, also familiar to Haru, exclaimed as he looked at her from the doorway.

Haru figured it was safe to say that he had once spent a whole summer with her at a camp, and no one here, not even him, was aware that she was a girl.

Except maybe Ms. Hwang.

Ms. Hwang stepped in with this boy and eyed Haru closely. "Hey, Penguin, I told you I was right. He'll be here today," she said, still looking at Haru.

Behind her, four more guys stepped in and looked at Haru, all with baffled expressions. Had they not been informed of her identity?

She recognized three of them from the party chasing after Ms. Hwang.

"Uh, hi," Haru said with a small smile, a mantra going through her mind.

Be a boy, Haru. Act like a boy.

Ms. Hwang hit the boy with her arm. "Sunoo, could you try to be more welcoming?"
