My Best Friend Crush: An Eric x Kyle story

Chapter Ten

"Babe are you dressed yet? Everyone is coming in a half-hour for the barbeque" I heard the sweet voice of my husband call from downstairs. I smiled slightly at the thought. I still feel like a fantasy when I call him my husband.

"Almost done. Be down soon baby" I called back before finishing getting dressed. I decided to wear a nice shirt with my new apron that I bought specifically for today's barbeque. The apron read 'Kiss the chef' and I know that Kyle will love it. I left the bedroom and walked downstairs to be greeted by my handsome husband who was bouncing around the kitchen getting everything ready for our guest. Kyle was both excited and nervous since this will be the first holiday we will be hosting with everyone. I walked over to the bubbly man and grabbed his hands.

"Baby calm down. Everything looks perfect, you look perfect, we got this" I reassured him and he smiled.

"Have I told you how much I love you?" He asked while pulling me into him. I smiled at the love of my life and kissed him.

"You tell me all the time and I love you," I told him while pulling away and walking towards our backyard. Time to get this party started!

I was currently grilling hot dogs for tonight's barbeque feast when the guest started to arrive. I noticed Jenna and Jason arrive happily and then my sister and Alex walked into the backyard. I smiled while my sister talked with my husband before walking over to me with a giant smile.

"Hey sis" I greeted her with a hug once she approached me.

"I have something to tell you" She smiled at me and I raised an eyebrow. I wonder what her news is?

"You will be an uncle soon!" My eyes widened and I broke into a smile. They're having a baby?!

"Really?! Oh my god, congrats!" I quickly hugged her and she smiled.

"So, when will I be an aunt?" She asked me and I blushed.

"Soon, hopefully, whenever the adoption place picks us," I told her with a frown. Kyle and I have been trying for months but we still haven't gotten anything back.

"So you have been looking?" She smirked at me and I nodded.

"I want to give Kyle the family he has always wanted. Hopefully, we get to have what you and Alex will be having" She smiled at me. I want my perfect family with the world's most perfect man. Brianna walked off to go speak with Jenna, Jason, and Alex and I smiled. I miss when we used to all hang out like this. I sighed while continuing the food. Once it was done, I served the food and we all ate.

"You're cute when you grill," Kyle said once he walked over to me after everyone had left. I smiled at him once he kissed my cheek.

"You're cute when you're all excited" I turned off the grill and wrapped my arms around his waist. He grinned with that little sparkle in his eyes. The sparkle I fell in love with.

"Can you believe that Bri and Alex are having a baby? I want one" He stated excitedly before frowning.

"It's okay baby, we will have one soon" I reassured him while kissing his sadness away. I really do hope we will have a little baby of our own

I really like this chapter because we saw Brianna's side of this during the Canada chapter and now we get Eric's point of view on it. Next chapter we will be in My Best Friend Benefit when Skylar comes home with Jaiden. I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
