Chapter Fourteen

"You want my what?!" I asked the nervous boy sitting in my office.

"I want your blessing to marry Skyler," He asked me once more and I was shocked. I was content that after everything he's done, he's finally taking the correct steps and asking for my blessing. I stared at the boy that has completely captured my daughter's heart. He had matured since back in high school and despite my distaste for his personality, he was quite the respectable young man worthy of my daughter's hand.

"So you want to marry my sweet little girl?" I asked him in an intimidating tone. He squirmed nervously in his seat and I held back a smirk. I knew before he walked in here that I would give him my blessing but making him nervous is really fun.

"Yes sir" He tried saying with confidence but cowered under my gaze.

"What do you have to offer my daughter?" I asked him while placing my hands on my desk. I saw him visibly gulp and I smirked.

"I offer my love and support and my time. I promise to love her with everything I have and never let her go. I will cherish her forever and I promise to try every day to prove my worth to you" He explained and I smiled. I got to admit, this kid knows just what to say. He looked at me with pleading eyes and I smiled gently at him in return.

"You are a bright young man Jaiden, you have been kind to my daughter for years now and you make her happy, so yes you have my blessing to marry my sweet little girl but trust me, I'm watching you. If you ever hurt my Skyler, I will not hesitate to end you" I told him and his eyes widened before smiling widely.

"Thank you! You won't regret this sir" He told me before standing up, shaking my hand, and walking out of my office. I chuckled softly at the excited boy before leaving the office myself. I spotted my handsome husband on the sofa and walked over to him. He smiled once he saw me.

"Did you make the boy sweat?" He asked me once I sat next to him. I grinned at him and he rolled his eyes.

"You should have seen him. He was so scared of me. It felt nice having all the power" I told him while wrapping him in my arms. He grabbed my hand like every time and started intertwining our fingers.

"How do you honestly feel about him? I remember you disliked him when we first met him" He asked me and I smiled.

"He's an idiot but he makes Skyler happy. He promised that he would never hurt our little girl and I believe he's a good guy. Plus I'm happy he asked for my blessing instead of just asking her" I explained and he smiled up at me.

"Can you believe our baby is getting married?" He asked me while cuddling into my chest. I honestly can't believe it. It feels like yesterday when we brought that little girl home.

"Do you remember when we were her whole world?" I asked him and he nodded.

"Now we are lucky to even see her once a month. I miss having a little kid around" He whined with a cute pout. I looked down at him and chuckled.

"It's okay baby once they are married we will have grandchildren" I tried reassuring him before my eyes widened. I don't think I'm ready to be a grandfather.

"Omg, you're right! We'll have grandbabies soon! I'm so excited!" He exclaimed while bouncing in excitement. I chuckled softly at my adorable husband.

"Will you still love me once I'm old and less attractive?" I asked him with a hint of worry. His eyes softened and he kissed my cheek.

"I will never stop loving you, even if you turn old. I'll be old with you too so it's fine" He reassured me and I smiled. This man is perfect. I can't believe I get to call him mine.

THEY ARE SO CUTE!!! Also, Jaiden asked for Eric's blessing before marrying her so that's good! Eric seemed happy that the boy finally matured. The next chapter is the last one and we are in the future when Eric and Kyle are taking care of their grandchildren with Brianna and Sophia.
