Silent Knight

Chapter Two

Present Day

I swoop into the alley Batman asked me too meet him in. I focus on morphing my neck. I manage to damage my vocal chords so I am mute.

"Silent Knight." He says I don't even turning around," I'm going to tell them your super hero name and you tell them whatever you want."

When I finally turn he says,
"I'm going to walk into the phone booth. After I disappear wait ten seconds before entering."

I nod and as I wait I coil the whip and put it into my utility belt. I count the seconds and enter closing the door behind me. A bright flash of light emits from the camera as it scans me. I feel myself almost dissolve. I close my eyes.

Silent Knight B07

A computerized voice calls out.

When I open my eyes I'm greeted by a cave, no a mountain.

"Team, this is Silent Knight. She is joining." I hear Batman say as I take in my surroundings.

I turn to the team. Six teens stare at me awkwardly. I nod my head in their direction and walk up in line with Batman.

"I'll leave you too your introductions." he says before leaving.

I begin too walk towards the gym. I am stopped by the team.

"I'm-" the light haired Atlantean is cut off by the Martian girl, "M'gann! And this is Kaldur, Connor, Wally, Artemis and Robin." She says as she gestures to each of them in turn.

"What can you do?" Kaldur asks. In a curious manner.

I inwardly groan. I really don't want too do this. First I super speed around the room, causing small tornado of papers to flutter about. When I stop I use my telekinesis to lift up Robin. I let him down gently before sprinting at a normal humans pace towards them.

At the very last second I leap up and jump above them. I land with one hand on Connor's head. I flick my wrist until all I'm using is two fingers to hold myself up.

I jump down and punch at the wall next to me as hard as possible. I make a huge dent in it.

'There's more.' I turn to M'gann, I touch her forehead and she instantly knows sign language. I do the same with the rest of the team.

'There.' I sign and they look at me startled.

"Why did we understand that?" Asks Connor.

'Because I gave you the knowledge, duh. I have more powers.' I sign.

I take out my whip and set it ablaze. I touch my skin for awhile till there's a bad burn. I put my whip away and focus on it. My skin knits together and turns back to a normal shade.

Last but not least I run over and look straight into Artemis' eyes I morph into her. I smirk at them, "I am only mute as Silent Knight."

"Why don't you just morph into a different body forever?" M'gann asks.

I morph into Silent Knight again.

'Because this body is... home. Okay I made myself a show pony so listen to me now and listen well: I didn't come here to make friends, I came here because Batman insisted. Stay out of my way and I'll stay out of yours.' I sign rapidly.

They stand there speechless. I stride away. When I enter my designated room I let out a breath I didn't know I had been holding. I don't want them to care about me, I don't want them to die for me.

I want to protect them from my many secrets and I recognize Robin. He's Dick Grayson, the boy who saved me from Jackson. I saw the cave and I saw the house, I'm not a moron. I really hope he doesn't recognize me.

Two days later

I'm sulking because I'm on summer break and am BORED.

After staring at the wall until around 10:00 am I walk into the mission ops room. I hang upside down which is quite calming to me.

An alarm breaks my peace. I flip down from my perch as the team scrambles after Batman as he strides in, "Team, you have a mission. The Terror Twins, Icicle Jr., Thorne, Catgirl, and Jester have formed the Young Injustice League. They're currently terrorizing downtown Metropolis. Silent Knight will be joining you."

"Really, her?" Wally says unhappily.

"Silent Knight is part of the team therefore she will be joining you." Batman says coldly.

Wally groans as I follow the team, M'gann's eyes glow and a small red pod turns into a plane-spacecraft thingie. I cautiously follow them onto it.

I stand awkwardly before falling into the seat that suddenly materialized beneath me. It straps me in as Kaldur begins our plan, "Kid Flash, you get citizens out of the area. Robin, you take on Jester. Seeing as she is Joker's protégé/daughter you have the best chance of subduing her.

Superboy, you take on Tommy and I'll take on Tuppence. Ms. Martian, you take on Icicle Jr. Artemis you can take on Catgirl. And finally Silent Knight, you take on Thorne. Your powers should help take down her plants. Be warned, although she is not as powerful as her mother she is deadly."

I nod curtly as we arrive in Metropolis.

I wait until M'gann opens a hatch in the floor. I leap out of the ship thing. I land square on Thorne's shoulder knocking her too the ground. The others follow my lead and we attack.

I pull out my whip as Throne scrambles too her feet.

"You just made a big mistake!" She says angrily.

She raises her arms and plants rush at me. I cartwheel to the side and latch my whip too them. I channel my fire powers of through it and watch as they shrivel up.

Suddenly I'm lifted by my foot and hang upside down. The plants wrap around me. As Thorne begins to crush me, I vibrate my molecules as fast as I can. I fall to the ground.

I turn around furious, I use my telekinesis and rip the vines with my mind. Then I run up at Thorne and quickly and precisely knock her out. I clamp a collapsable inhibitor collar around her neck and tie her upside down too a lamppost.

I look too see Artemis struggling with Catgirl. I run up from behind Catgirl and swiftly pull her feet out from under her using my whip. I turn on the electricity and knock her out.

"I didn't need your help!" Artemis says angrily.

I roll my eyes and look to Robin. He seems to be okay until Jester surprisingly makes a smart precise move and knocks him down. She holds her hammer high above her head about to smash his. I super speed into her knocking her over.

I turn towards Superboy and Aqualad. I use my increased balance and agility to flip onto Tommy. I put an inhibitor collar around his neck and quickly do the same to Tuppence.

As they subdue the superpower less teens I turn to Icicle Jr., M'gann has it handled. She overloaded his small brain and he crumbled.

I telekinetically lift all of the teens together and pile them together. I stride onto the ship thing and sit down.

"I had it under control." Artemis repeats on the ship.

"Yeah you shouldn't have done that." Superboy said.

"If she hadn't I would be part of the side walk right now." Defends Robin.

"Silent Knight took initiative and helped take down the criminals." Aqualad said calmly.

'I helped you because you are my team and I had taken care of my part already. I had inhibitor collars in my belt.'

Superboy just grunts, I just wait 'till we get home so I can sleeeeep!
