Nayel parks the car, leaning over and placing a soft kiss on my cheek, "Have a nice weekend" He smiles making butterflies erupt in my stomach.

I bite my lower lip, "Do you want to come upstairs?" I found myself asking.

Nayel's eyes widen as he nods eagerly, "Yeah" He pauses smiling, "Yeah yeah yeah" He nods eagerly making me giggle, he's so cute.

"You can park somewhere over there" I point to the parking lot as Nayel tries finding us a spot.

Nayel unlocks the car, we grab our things and head upstairs.

"I think the only other time I've been to your place was the New Year's Party" Nayel says behind me as I was unlocking my door.

"I really wanted to kiss you that night" Nayel whispers in my ear as I open the door and turn around to smile at him. I lean up and place a soft kiss on his lips.

"Here you go" I wink pulling away causing him to grin as we step inside my apartment.

"I'm not a millionaire so excuse the basic ass apartment, I'm on a budget" I joke and I hear Nayel chuckle behind me.

I slip out of my heels putting them in a corner turning around to feel much shorter than Nayel now, Nayel smiles as his hand cups my right cheek.

"Do you want a drink?" I ask biting my lower lip suddenly getting nervous.

Nayel smiles while nodding so I start walking to the kitchen with him following behind me.

"I actually like what you've done with the place Ria," Nayel says behind me, I turn around to see him smiling to himself looking around.

"Gin and tonic alright?" I ask pulling the glasses out of the cabinets.

"Sure" Nayel smiles, showing off his teeth making me get butterflies yet again.

Nayel moves to the pantry smiling to himself as I was making our drinks.

"Thank you baby" Nayel grins taking the drink from my hand making me smile. I love when he calls me baby.

Nayel and I were sitting on the kitchen stools side by side, drinking our drinks, his hand on my bare knee drawing circles with his index finger, "How long have you been living here for?"

"Hmm, I moved like 2 months before I started working at Jefferson. I was so nervous that I couldn't afford a place like this" I pause chuckling, "then you hired me so all good I guess" I shrug.

Nayel grins taking another sip of his drink, "I remember you wanted to see my room the last time you were here" I say biting the inside of my cheek.

Nayel smirks, "I recall saying I was waiting on an invite"

I raise an eyebrow, "and you somehow managed it"

Nayel shrugs cockily, "Still haven't seen it though"

I get up from my seat and extend my hand, "C'mon" I say, Nayel grins grabbing my hand as I walk him down the hall. We step inside my room, I drop his hand to turn on the lamp on my bedside table, a lot of light radiating from the window. Bright New York City.

Nayel looks around, his gaze on each corner trying to grasp everything, "So?" I raise my eyebrow at him.

Nayel chuckles, "It's really nice, I like it. Just not what I expected."

I furrow my eyebrows at him, "What did you expect?" I ask.

Nayel chuckles, "I just assumed bright colors maybe some hello kitty pillows here and there"
