"I JUST LIKE YOU, LEE HEESEUNG!" She gave up and admitted it directly. It felt like a ton of bricks being lifted from her heart when she finally told him about it. It was so relieving and contented. Feelings that Mirae did not feel for quite a long time.
Heeseung's eyes became wider when he felt a greater impact strike up to him. He froze and stared at her in shock. He was so terribly shocked to the point that he was not able to move at all. He just could not believe it, all of this.
"Y-You like m-me?" He stuttered as his hand shakingly pointed at himself.
"YES, I DO. IF YOU DON'T LIKE ME ANYMORE, JUST GET OUT OF THIS ROOM NOW! I CAN'T DEAL WITH THIS ANYMORE!" Mirae exclaimed, unable to calm herself down. If she ever had to deal with any more humiliating situations for herself, she would go madly insane.
Therefore, if Heeseung did not like her back anymore, he should really leave the room. At least, Mirae would most probably reflect on it a little, have a small heartbreak and get over it as quickly as she could. That way, it would be great for both of them.
When Heeseung finally snapped up from his frozen position, he regained his composure while he slowly breathed. If I don't like her back, I should just get out of this room. He took some time to recall her words.
Heeseung then turned around, heading towards the door. That's it. This proves that Heeseung did not like her anymore. Heeseung was leaving her alone in this room. Whatever Mirae did and let him wait for the entire time for her to return his love, he gave up earlier on, didn't he?

Mirae was stuck in her thoughts with her head lowered down and did not manage to catch that Heeseung turned back around again. He ran towards her as quickly as he could. Hearing those footsteps, Mirae looked up anticipatingly.
Seeing Heeseung with a bright smile as he ran up to Mirae, made her puzzled. But, her confusion was answered when Heeseung hugged her. His arms hurriedly pulled her close to his embrace, hugging Mirae tightly. It felt as if she was his everything.
"I like you too, don't worry. I was just teasing you." He told her and realisation hit her.
He-
"YOU!" She angrily slapped his shoulder making him let out a small laugh. "You scared me to death!" She added on as she laughed together with him.
───── flashback to the night festival...
"All of you will release your hands from the lanterns starting in fifteen seconds! Fifteen, fourteen..." The host of this activity shouted for everyone to hear.
At the thirteenth second, Heeseung lit up the lantern, making both of them being able to see what was on the lantern. Both of them expected to see their letter but, what they saw was...
Their letter for each other.
Heeseung realised he made a big mistake for that but, he could not keep his eyes off Mirae's letter to him. Mirae did the same as well — Reading his note to her while the host counted down.
"Seven!"
"Six!"
"Five!"
"Four!"
"Three!"
"Two!"
"One!"
"ZERO!" The host shouted. Heeseung and Mirae let go of the lantern at the same time after reading their letters for each other completely.
Mirae, I will wait for you no matter what. I know you don't love me now, I will try and try again. I'm not going to give up. I will wait for you. I promise.
And, that was Heeseung's note to Mirae.
Heeseung, I think... I think I can love you.
That was Mirae's letter to Heeseung. It was short but, it had a great impact.
It felt as if the both of them answered each other's letter.

"Heeseung, I fell in love with you." Mirae hugged him back willingly this time. Her arms felt like angel wings when they touched Heeseung's back. It automatically made his smile even brighter.
"I fell in love with you too." He whispered into her ear. Blushes on their cheeks and smiles on their lips. The both of them never felt so glad after they had been through so many things.
"Thank you so much for always forgiving me and waiting." Mirae said while Heeseung nodded, "Thank you for loving me back too."

Mirae and Heeseung lay on the bed and instinctively faced their backs on each other. Wait, we don't need to do this anymore-
At the same time, they quickly turned to face each other while they giggled at how dumb they were. "I totally forgot about it- HAHA!" They could not stop laughing their heads off.
"Okay, okay. Hug?" She stretched out her arms towards Heeseung. She was waiting for this! The feelings she felt when he first hugged her when they slept was one of the most special things in her life. She wanted to experience the feeling once again. This time with the both of them hugging each other of their own accord.
Heeseung did not respond and pulled her into a hug again. Both of their scents lingered in each other's noses. "Aish!" She adjusted herself to feel more comfortable and the both of them cuddled to sleep.
