Dec 13

My head is spinning and I can't think properly, well shit. I have an exam in less than an hour and I think I know how to fix this. coffee.

I went to my go-to cafe where I have there my bitch of a best friend, Rianne. I do love her.

She was always there for me and not once has she let me down. I met her last year when we started college and agreed that we'd become roommates. The cafe was her part-time job since her family can't really do much to support her, but even when it's that way I can see how rich they are with love.

I haven't seen her in what felt like ages, probably because she has an early shift, and we both got college. I try my best to help her when it comes to academics, but she always pushes herself to be the one who does it.

The bell rings and I was greeted by an enthusiastic grin "ugh finally, bitch I missed you"

"YOU KNOW? we should take a break sometimes" I went behind the counter to give her a quick hug.

"Look. who's. talking, you're so... y/n" she playfully rolls her eyes at me as I lean over the counter.

"Wow, I'm an adjective now?"

"ay, what do u want?" she lets out an annoyed groan

"(Fav/drink)"
"(Fav/drink)" we both said at the same time.

"Why ask?" I incredulously gaped.
She shrugs, unfazed.

"Okay, I'm going to sit there, I just need to go over some notes before my history test," I pointed with my thumb, informing her.

"Mmhmm go ahead"

I sat close to the windows, where the sun was peaking through. I placed my bag on the vacant chair and took out my laptop. I made sure that I went through every single detail and took small breaks by writing down what I could recall. After a while, I started to feel dizzy, and based on what I read from an article, the color green actually helps with nausea because it's a very soothing color. I looked out the window and just stared at the trees with their leaves gently blown by the strong wind. It was a beautiful day, the sky was more blue than usual, and the clouds seemed like it was precisely placed making it look like a piece of artistry that was just so overlooked.

I snapped out of it and before looking back down at my notes, I quickly scanned the people in the cafe, did a double-take when I see a guy wearing a yellow striped jacket, huh, just like cam-

"Y/N!! order for y/n!" and before I could even complete my thought, I could hear Rianne call out my name, and of course, me an overthinker, panicked. I know it's probably not him, but it still felt like it was.

"Okay, okay, stop screaming" I rushed to her with my heart pounding, snatched it from her hand, and took a sip. I already woke up because of how anxious I felt earlier, but why not make it worse? right? "thank you" I shot her a grateful smile before walking back to my table

I halted. Something changed. I looked around to see what did and see the guy looking at me. Fluffly dark auburn hair, glimmering phthalo green eyes.

It's... him, it really is him. Camilo.
