3rd POV
They all watched as the grass yellowed and drooped.
Auriana and Bucky took a step back, while Steve did the opposite and watched Evyr closely.
Peter saw Banner unsurprisingly grab a handful for greenery(Now yellow), and shove it in his pocket. Tony and Wanda didn't move, paralyzed by shock.
Clint looked as if he had just seen a ghost, and Natasha observed with curiosity the two gods and girl.
Evyr was now clenching her teeth in pain, and she struggled to keep a steady stream of life flowing into Loki. Though she was succeeding, the energy in her own body was depleting rapidly.
Before she lost consciousness, Loki snapped out of his daze, and Evyr was pushed back. He jumped from Thor's arms and gasped, fighting for air.
Evyr was fighting for breath as well, and Auriana rushed forward to cradle her head on her knees.
"Ev, you're okay, listen to me, that was amazing. Please don't die," she pleaded.
Evyr laughed in response and winced.
"I'm not gonna die, I don't think,' she wheezed. "I've never done that before, at least not something that big."
"Yeah," Auri had to try and keep her voice cheerful, but on the inside she was freaking out. She thought she had just watched her sibling die.
Winter was peaking over her shoulder, worrying the same thing.
"I told you I sap a lot of energy doing that. Don't worry, I'm fine." Evyr waved Auriana away as she helped her up, but stumbled again as she tried to walk. Auriana held out her metal arm, and Evyr took it reluctantly.
"What happened to me?" a voice asked behind them, confused. Loki was examining his hands, wiggling his fingers experimentally. "I feel oddly awake, as if..."
He looked up to Evyr, who was still fighting for breath.
"Did you do this?" He held up his hands to her, and Auriana put her flesh hand around her protectively.
Loki looked to his brother, the same thought passing through their minds.
"Who are you?" Loki asked, his voice oozing. "What are you?"
Evyr furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.
"What do you mean?" she asked.
"How can you do this?"
"What?"
"HELLO?" Tony finally but in and silenced the both of them.
"WE have a crisis here, there are giant ice people coming to destroy our planet and you're sitting here asking a team of people with superpowers why they have superpowers! We can sing Kumbaya and have a social hour some other time, but I'm not in the mood to be bombarded with questions that don't pertain to the problem at hand!"
Everyone stayed silent for a bit, taking in the anger of Tony Stark. Eventually Peter broke that silence.
"So Mr. Loki, what happened?" he asked quietly.
Loki looked away from a tired Evyr and to Peter.
"They said that they'd be coming in two Earth weeks, then they will come and destroy Midgard," Loki said, his voice sinister and weary.
"Why'd that take so long to communicate?" Banner cut in. "You were there for so long, you gotta have heard something else."
Loki hesitated before sharing the conversation he and his father shared.
"Laufey said to me that no amount of force you could produce would defeat the wrath of Jotunheim. I told him that I would fight alongside the earthlings, and my brother would too."
He gestured to Thor, who nodded.
"He tried to convince me to join them, but I refused."
"Did they say anything about why they're doing this?" Natasha asked, her fists clenched a little harder than she probably wanted them to be.
"They're coming because they're still furious with my brother and want revenge. With Asgard heavily guarded, they know their place not to raid it. But Earth would be an easy target, the only small bump in the road is the Avengers," Loki replied, turning to Thor, his fury radiating off him like steam off a hot stream of water.
"They're coming after you, brother. You caused this," he rumbled. Thor hung his head in shame.
"You're right, Loki," he admitted. "And I am willing to fix my mistakes, but it is clear that Laufey will not listen to reason. We must fight for Midgard, for the humans."
"Wait so this is all your fault?" Tony asked, his voice rising again. "People are going to die because YOU were an idiot?"
"Stark I'm sorry," Thor pleaded with him to stay calm. All that had been on his mind was Jane Foster. He would be devastated if anything happened to her, but now he would be the reason.
"We will protect Earth, and you must help us. We couldn't fight all of them without you all, not even with the rest of Asgard on our side," Thor continued, but Tony wasn't listening anymore, he was about to explode, his thoughts on his own daughter.
Morgan was three years old, and she only had two weeks before the end of the world and her life.
"I have a family and team to protect, and you're saying that they have no chance? How do you think I'll react to that?"
"I never said that you don't have a chance, I said that I couldn't do it without the help of the Avengers."
Tony had had enough and stormed off into the building. Thor stared after him in dismay.
"Don't worry Mr. Thor," Peter said in an effort to comfort him. "He's just worried that's all. He will help us with the Frost Giants."
The god sighed. "I do worry, young man of spiders. I fear that if I cannot protect you all, Jotunheim may come for Asgard, and then all the universe will be ruled by ice if we cannot stop them here."
Peter pressed his lips together and looked at Auriana with a pale face. She looked away and down to Evyr, who now had enough energy to stand on her own, but was still in pain.
She heard everything though, and now she was worried she would die.
"Auriana," she whispered.
"Yeah, what's wrong, are you okay?"
"I'm fine. Are we gonna die?"
When Auriana didn't offer a response, she sighed.
"We are, aren't we?"
"I-... it's okay if you don't want to fight," she leaned down to meet her eyes. "You don't have to."
"But Tony's making a suit."
"I don't care. You're not an Avenger Evyr. And that's fine. You don't have to fight."
Winter had been listening to the conversation and joined in.
"She's right," he said. "You don't have to fight if you don't want to."
Evyr responded with a scoff. "Well what choice do I have? It's either fight and die, or not fight and die! Of course I have to fight. If I don't then I'm no better than my siblings that couldn't make it."
With that, she turned and walked away as steadily as she could. After the door had closed behind her, Loki appeared next to Auriana. She jumped when she heard his voice.
"How did she come to possess the abilities she has?" he asked calmly, as if nothing had just happened. Once she shook off the initial shock, she recalled the meeting where they were given the mission.
"All I know is that it was a Wakandan herb, but I don't know how much use that is to you. Do you know what Wakanda is?"
"I'm familiar with the name, yes," Loki replied. "I have a theory of which herb it may be that she was given. But to be transparent, I'm not as versed in the plant life of Earth as I should be. Wakanda is the Kingdom in which you harvest Vibranium, correct?"
Auriana nodded.
"Then we must go there immediately," he commanded. "If she is what my brother and I believe she is, she will be of much use to us in the upcoming battle. But I must know before I begin training."

And so, Loki, Auriana, Bucky, Peter, Steve, Banner, and Evyr all went to Wakanda to find the name of the mysterious herb given to her at birth.
