Evyr's POV
I felt the branches wrap around me and slow down my fall. I thanked Loki silently for being the one to teach me how to save myself before looking back up.
The sky was now full of falling blue creatures that looked just like Laufey.
I rolled out of the way before one could land on me. I turned and looked at the creature, its hungry eyes on me.
Oh no.
It lunged toward me and I moved as it crashed into a traffic light. I didn't know what else to do.
So I ran.
Into Stark Tower I went, past the elevator and up the stairs. I went to my floor, my room, and sat in a ball in the corner. I waited for my breathing to slow before I started thinking again. I looked out of my window to see even more creatures barreling down from the sky.
I rubbed the tears away from my face.
I didn't want to die, I didn't want to die. Why did they have to take me? I could have stayed in Hydra, never knowing of this, and died in peace. I wouldn't have had to fight.
I was snapped out of my thoughts when a frost giant burst through my window, dead.
I screamed, feeling the sharp pain of glass on my forehead.
After I realized it was dead, I crawled over to it.
I caressed her face, her eyes still open, lifeless and cold. She probably didn't want to die either. She could have had a family that she was fighting for. A mate or children, her family may miss her and will mourn her when she doesn't come home.
Maybe I should fight for my family.
I'm almost done yall! Maybe two or three more chapters and we are done with our second book. And who knows, maybe I'll make a third one...
