Oh, my dear doll

Oh, my dear doll.
My dear doll, with your beautiful golden hair and eyes comparable to the skies.
Oh, forever you shall stand and may you never fall.
My dear doll, come now and look me in the eyes.

Oh my dear, Doll.
My dear doll, I give you love and light and shelter.
Oh, please won't you see?
My dear doll, don't act so helter-skelter.
Oh, dolly you have a part to play so don't disagree.

Oh, my dear doll.
My dear doll, I watch you play and dance just as I have shown you.
Oh, forever you will dance for me, will you not?
My dear doll, won't you say thank you?
Oh, dolly forever may you stay in your cot.

I am a doll.
My horrid hair is yellow as mustard and my eyes are like polluted skies.
I have been standing for so long I fear I will never fall.
My puppet master pulls me into those eyes.

I was never a doll.
From a rusty spoon I am force-fed false love, light, and shelter.
I refuse to believe you still don't see.
Forever I have only felt helter-skelter.
I have a part to play and no choice to disagree.

I want to live.
Behind closed doors I no longer have to play and dance as I rot.
How dare you imply I should thank you.
I will no longer live in this wretched cot.
If you wanted a toy so bad, you could have simply gotten a doll.
