Chapter 34 - Plan Z

“No.” I stated. “Absolutely not, not happening. You are not doing this. This is insane, Scott. Actually insane. You are crazy.”

“We need to find the Benefactor.” He stated.

“Yes! Yes, we do.”

“And this is how we’re going to do it.” He said again.

“No! This cannot be plan A, this at least has to be plan D, no actually make that plan Z. Last final plan ever.”

“Anna…”

“Scott! You are not killing yourself!”

“I won’t be dead!” He yelled back. “I’ll just look dead for 45 minutes and then Kira will bring me back. For payment to go through the Benefactor needs visual confirmation, but if I’m in the morgue and the police are on the way to collect my body then the only proof possible will be for the Benefactor to come down and see for himself.”

“I know how the plan works, Scott!”

“Then what’s the problem?”

“How about the part with the death!”

“Not actual death!”

“Okay… I’m going to start from the beginning. Kira…” I pointed over to the nogitsune, “is going to use her Kitsune abilities to send volts of electricity through your body rendering, for all intense purposes, dead then we ring the ambulance who carry you to hospital, try to revive you, fail and then you are actually declared dead by the doctors and placed in the morgue. If Kira does not get to you in 45 minutes to revive you the same way she killed you, you will actually be dead.”

“Yes, but she will revive him.” Kira’s mother informed me. It was her idea, she’d apparently seen this done before and mentioned it to Kira who mentioned it to Scott who thought it was brilliant.

“Okay, what about this. The Benefactor could be more than 45 minutes away, he may not be able to make it to the hospital in time, or he sends someone else to get the proof. Something tells me that a person who is willing to pay assassins millions of dollars to kill people isn’t exactly one to go out of their way to do the work themselves.”

“Okay, it’s a bad plan.” Scott finally admitted. “But it’s the only one we have. I already rang my mum and gave her the heads up. We have the laptops to connect to the security cameras in the hospital. We have someone who has done this before.” Scott gestured to Mrs Yukimura.

“Seen it done before.” She corrected him.

“But that’s just as good, yeah?” Liam asked, clearly panicking as much as I was.

“No.”

“See, Scott! The one experienced person we have isn’t actually experienced and not to mention she’s not even the one doing the thing, Kira is. And Kira, as far as I’m aware, has never done anything like this before.”

“Anna, this is incredibly dangerous and borderline idiotic.” Stiles stated. “But, although we haven’t done this exact thing before, we have done things like it. Remember when we spent 16 hours under water?” Stiles asked.

“Yeah…. Funnily enough, Stiles, I also remember coming back half Nix because of it and we all know how that ended.”

“But you’re fine now.” He grinned. I shot him a death glare that immediately wiped the smile of his face before turning to Mrs Yukimure.

“Okay, how exactly does he pass of being dead in a hospital? They have equipment that reads heartbeats.”

“His heart will only beat once every minute or so. If they don’t sense a beat for more than 30 seconds, they’ll declare him dead and disable the machines.”

“Once every minute?!”

“It’s enough to keep an alpha alive.” She confirmed.

“Oh god, okay. I think I’m going to pass out. This is terrible, crazy, insane, you need to go to Eichen House… we all need to go to Eichen House, maybe we can get a share room.”

“Okay.” Stiles came up beside and pulled me away from Scott. “You just stand over here, next to Liam. Deep breaths, Liam make sure she breaths.”

Kira walked over to Scott. “Oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god.” I muttered as I latched onto Liams arm. “I can’t look.” I whispered before turning away into Liam shoulder, but he looked just as freaked out as I did and his heard beat was through the charts.

“Anna… the commentary isn’t helping.” Scott said. I risked a glance back over at Scott and I made some kind of whining noise that sounded something like a poodle as Kira placed her hand on his chest.

“Wait!” I yelled. “The bond what about the bond. What if I go all Nixy… this is bad, you can’t do it, see there’s a reason not to do it.” I rambled.

Scott sighed and sat up a little. “You may have a point.”

“Ah-ha!” I practically jumped.

“We didn’t think of that.” Stiles muttered. “Okay, how about this. I drive Anna to the lake house, we lock her up in the basement, Lydia is there at the moment so she can call if anything happens and then I’ll come back here and we continue on.”

“Alright.” Scott nodded.

“No!” I yelled. “I lied, I’ll be fine. You won’t actually be dead, so it should be fine. Continue.” Nodded at Kira.

“No, you should go to the lake house.” Mrs Yukimura said. “The last thing we’ll need is to chase you around.”

“No, come on.”

“Let’s go.” Stiles stepped towards me, making me jump behind Liam and shield myself.

“This is definitely some form of abuse.”

“Won’t we need the extra hand, though?” Liam asked, gesturing to me.

“Yes!” I exclaimed. “I knew you were my favourite.” I said to him as I gave him a sideways hug as I grinned at Scott.

“You weren’t around to see her at her worse.” Kira said to Liam. “Trust us.”

“Let’s go.” Stiles declared.

“Fine!” I turned to Liam. “But you are coming with, we’re having a chat.”

“About what?” He asked as I started to drag him out of the room as we followed Stiles.

“Stiles has a habit of only filling me in after everything has already happened, Scott is even worse and he’ll be unconscious anyway and Kira… she is staying focussed, absolutely focussed, no distractions, none… so you are on communication detail. You have a phone… text me… everything.”

“Right.” Liam nodded as we approached the jeep.

“Clear?”

“Yes.” He nodded again.

“Good boy.” I gave him a hug before jumping in the jeep with Stiles. “I hate you for this.” I glared at him.

“I know.” I sighed as he started the jeep and drove off to the lake house.

I can't stop writing. I'm getting really excited about the new season, but it's still months away, haha.
