(Ash)
I had found a way to get rid of our collars the week before and we had enjoyed using our powers since then.
I walked into the field and Thalia just stared at me, surprised. She was probably wandering where I was going. I walked to the middle of the field before Thalia started running to catch up with me.
I walked through the magical invisible wall surrounding my enemy's house. I looked back at Thalia to see that she had stopped running and was looking around. I went back and passed my arm through the wall. She saw it and came forward. She took my hand and I pulled her inside.
"What happened?" She asked
"There is a spell around this place." I explained
She looked around at the small house in the middle of the clearing.
"No one outside can see us." I said, walking over to the house.
It was a modern house that looked extremely out of place in this small town. The house was made of grey bricks and had a bleu roof. There were three stairs that lead to the door. There was a bleu garage door and two lights on the upper sides.
"This is where I exiled my ex-wife's murder. I placed a spell on it that keeps him hidden from this world and trapped in the field." I explained
"That's awful! Why was your brother friends with him?" She asked
"He thought it would be better to have him as a friend then an enemy. My brother thought he could be useful one day." I said
We walked up the stairs and I reached my hand up to knock on the door but before I could do it, a man came out of the house at an inhuman speed, grabbed me by my throat and slammed me up against the wall beside the stairs. The next second, Thalia turned into a wolf and crouched, ready to attack him.
"Don't do it Thalia.'' I said
"Why not?" She asked
I was surprised when I heard her answer in my head but quickly recovered.
"We need him." I answered mentally
She turned back to her human form and stayed back.
"What are you doing here Ash?" The man asked in a hate filed voice.
"I need your help Xavier." I said
"Why would I ever help you?" He asked
"Because I'm the only one who can lift the curse and I'm offering to do it." I explained
"What tells me you're not lying?" He asked
"I promise to do it if you help us and I never break my promises." I said
He hesitated but finished by letting me go.
"Come." He said
We followed him into the house. It was a small and simple house, painted in different shades of beiges. There was a coat hanger, a benches and tablets on the wall. The house consisted of a small living room and an even smaller kitchen. There was a coach and a TV in the living room, and in the kitchen, a fridge, a stove and a table with a single chair. The house smelled of wet dog.
"What do you want?" He asked
"I need to know where my brother is." I said
"Why? So you can go curse him to like you did to me?" He asked
"No. I need to go warn him that my father knows that we are alive before he kills him." I stated
"Last time I saw him, he said he was going to Texas to free you from a certain Lightning. I see that he made it." He said
''I was never in Texas."
''Your turn to uphold your part of the deal." He said
I placed my hand on his forehead and chanted the spell to lift the curse. He turned into a jaguar and walked to the mirror I had made appear in the house. He stared at his reflection for a while before running out of the house.
Who could have told my brother that I was in Lightning's captivity? Is he ok? Is he still alive? Those where the questions running through my mind as watched the jaguar run off and disappear into the forest at the other end of the field.
