Thalia yawned and rubbed her eyes. I walked over to the bed and sat down heavily.

"We should go to bed." Thalia said

"Yeah I guess you're right..." I said

She climbed up the small metal ladder to the higher bed. I heard the springs squeak as she lay down.

"Good night." I said

"Good night." She answered

The next morning, I woke up before Thalia. The light was still off and the room still completely darck but my eyes had gotten used to it enough for me to see the outline off everything in the room.

We have to get out of here. I got up and stood in the center of the room. I ran at the door and rammed my shoulder into it. Nothing happened. I backed away and rammed my shoulder into it again and again but still, nothing happened. I went back to the center of the room and made fire in my palms. I raised my arms with my palms facing the door. Two columns of fire shot towards the door and spread all over it. I kept the flow going for as long as I could but finally, I ran out of energy and the fire burned out as I fell to the floor. I felt so tired that I couldn't even drag myself to the bed. My eyes started closing and I something glowing red under the bed right before I fell asleep, sprawled out in the center of the room.
