It was fairly close to Thanksgiving when this happened but it's funny all the same.
"Hi welcome to A Burger Place, what can we make fresh for you today?"
"Yes I'd like a ButterBall burger please."
I immediately turn off my headset and start laughing. I can hear people in the kitchen laughing too (they can hear the customer talking over the overhead speakers for order accuracy and speed). For those of you who may not get it, ButterBall is a brand that sells whole turkeys.
Once I regain control I finish the order and turn my headset off again. "I didn't know we sold those!" I call out to no one in particular.
"It would be news to me!" Ricky calls back from his spot on the fryer.
"I've heard of turkey burger but wow," Ruth smirks from over on set.
