NEW STUDENT

HANJIS POV

I've been seeing that new cadet, l/n, everywhere. It's almost like theyre following me around. It honestly would make sense, they seem so interested in science and titans and the world, I bet they'd make the best student. *hanji realization* WAIT, should I ask? No, I have to get Erwin's permission first. Whatever, I can ask right now. I walked to the commander's office, hopeful that he'd hear me out. "Hello commander, I have a request. It's about the new cadet, y/n l/n." "Go on, hanji." He replied, his voice loud and firm as always. "So I was hoping I could make them my student? I keep seeing them around and theyre so interested in all my favorite things I really wanna teach the-" My rambling got cut off, and after a moment, Erwin replied, "You can try it out hanji, but do be careful, okay?" I nodded in response, followed by a "Thank you sir." I left his office and leapt from joy, running to go find cadet l/n.

YOUR POV

I was doing my work, and all of a sudden I felt someone tap my shoulder. I turned around and saw one of the vets, section commander Hanji Zoe. They were excitedly jumping around, not acting any different than they did every other time you noticed them. "HEY, HEY GUESS WHAT?" They shouted, a glimmer in their eye. I couldnt help but get small butterflies in my stomach, despite them not even doing anything. "What is it?" You asked, watching them continue to act like a toddler who was promised ice cream. "COMMANDER ERWIN SAID THAT I COULD TAKE YOU IN AS MY STUDENT, THIS'LL BE SO FUN WE CAN DO EXPERIMENTS AND TALK ABOUT TITANS AND SCIENCE AND THE WALLS AND EVERYTHING ELSE!!" Their excitement and the news were making you so happy, you secretly really looked up to hanji for their knowledge and passion over these things. "Thats so cool! When do we start?" "HOW ABOUT RIGHT NOW!?" They grabbed you by the hand and hurried you to their lab, paying no attention to the glasses that had fallen from one of their eyes. Your face slightly heated up from them holding your hand, but you shook off the thoughts running through your head and followed them. "COMMANDER PLEASE SLOW DOWN!" You shouted, being ignored as you tripped when they stopped at their doorway. "You okay?" They asked, the cute, worried tone in their voice practically melting you as they pulled you up to your feet.
