A/N: In this story you and Luisa are already together.
GN= Gender neutral
Y/N= is obviously you the reader (for future reference)Second Person POV. (This is how most of my story's will be)
The sky is a bright blue with the sun shining down onto the Valle de Cocora, (I looked it up and apparently that's where Encanto takes place) with the scorching heat it's hard not to break a sweat even if you're not moving. As you sit on a barrel watching your girlfriend Luisa dash around helping everyone but herself you can't help but wish she'd take a break. You've already tried a few times today to get her to take a water break at the very least but every time you try she gently chastises you and tells you she's too busy. Luisa continues to lift and bring back the donkeys to their pens as you continue your internal battle. You can see from where you're sitting that she's starting to struggle in the never ending heat. With how unusual it is for her to struggle at anything physical just shows how much she needs a breather, you don't know how no one else has noticed. The townsfolk continue giving her chores to do without so much as a "thanks". 'I just need her to drink and eat something before she passes out or these people bring her to another break down' you think to yourself, swinging your legs back and forth. (If you're tall like me... we'll you're not anymore)
It's about another 15 minutes of you watching while Luisa works. You, not having a gift, means your chores don't even compare to your novia's. When you've had enough of her self destructing, you hop off the barrel you've been sitting on and slowly approach your girlfriend. Luisa doesn't see you walk up to her due to her being too busy putting buildings back into place. She jumps slightly and turns to you when you being talking "Mi Amor I think it's time for a break, you need water and food". You speak in a soft voice hoping your tone will get her to give in. She gives you and exasperated look "Mi Corazon you know I have to finish these chores before Abuela gets mad". You raise an eyebrow at her "I'm sure your Abuela will be more upset if you pass out and can't do chores for the next few days". Luisa looks like she wants to say something but snaps her mouth shut and stays silent for a few moments. The sun still beats down on your body's as she seems to be pondering what you said.
Finally giving up with a small huff that brings a small smile to your face Luisa's shoulders sag in defeat. "I guess a small break won't hurt" Luisa claims while avoiding eye contact with you knowing you most likely have the biggest grin on your face from getting your way. You whisper a small "yes" and loop your arm through your girlfriends "let's go get you some refreshments." Luisa is slightly bent down to keep her arm weaved through yours. From the corner of your eye you see her cheeks go red as she gives you a fond smile.
You both chat and joke as you head through the village making your way to Luisa's home putting the never ending chores behind you.
