As you entered the great house, you looked around in fascination. The walls were extremely fancy and decorated with blue fires, fancy small moster-like sculptures were in the enrty hall. As you continued to walk in, you entered a giant room, with a tall, round ceiling with a beautiful chandelier at the center of it.

"Woah..." You let out, continuing to look up and around as you walked into the palace. This made the owl next to you smile sweetly. "I'm happy you're fond with my house! It took too long to put this all together. With... Some company.." His last sentence was a little weaker than the previous ones, as his smile went downer as well.

This made you look at the owl with a slightly concerned look. Your guesses were right, something did happen to him in this house. But... You decided not to ask him about it just yet, not wanting to make his discomfort bigger.

"Pardon me, where were we? Ah! Of course. You must be hungry!" His cheerful, soft tone came back, now clapping his hands together.

You were about to protest, since you didn't want him to bother himself so much for you, but he just continued to walk infront of you, putting his finger in the air. "Ah ah! I'm not accepting a 'no', my dear. You look starved to death!" He said sweetly, continuing his walk into the castle. you watched as he took off his big top hat, and placed it on a fancy handler by the wall, and smoothed his feathery hair with his hand. "any requests for food?" he turned his head to you with a smile.

"h-huh? oh.. not really. anything would be fine" you replied to him, chuckling nervously, mezmerized by the fancy looking hairstyle he had under that hat. "oh? well, alright then. guess I'll have to just show you what I got!" he giggled softly, now motioning for you to follow him to the dinner table. of course, you followed along, continuing to look around.

once you two entered the diner room, you were amazed at how huge this place could actually get! the diner room was twice bigger than the entry room, and had a long table at the middle, with lots of chairs, that each one was built like a small throne. as you looked up, you saw a large metal ball, with small circles of more metal spinning around slowly, and a small ball that looks like a sun in the middle. you smiled a little as you guessed it was a huge model of a solar system. but with different planets...

then, you looked to your left, and saw a big picture hanging on the wall, with two blue fires by the sides of it. in the picture, you saw Stolas, and a swan by his side, yet this one was a woman, with long feathers as hair and pink eyes. and between them, was a teenage owl girl with the same eyes as the woman's, and a chill outfit with a beanie and a small dress with stars on it. you understood they're his wife and daughter, but wanted to ask just to be sure.

"are those two... your family?" you asked the tall owl softly. "oh?" the owl turned his head to you with wide eyes, and then looked at the picture. "ah, yes. this is my daughter, my precious Octavia" he said with a sweet tone, smiling at the picture. but once his eyes landed on the white avian woman, his smile lightly dropped. "and this.. is my wife, Stella" he told you. you were curious at his mood changes when he talked about his daughter, and then his wife. it was... almost fear in his eyes. was there something wrong between those two?

"BUT! we're not here to talk about me, now! we're here to get you some food!" his sweet tone came back, as he clapped his hands together twice. as you looked down, you looked surprised as 5 tiny imps with fancy servant outfits appeared with well prepared meals of chicken, potatoes, salads, pizzas, meat pies, and more delicious looking foods. but once you saw a plate with three dead mice on it, you couldn't help but cringe a little. well... he was an owl, after all. owls are predator animals!

"please! have a seat" Stolas said sweetly, as one of the small imps took out a chair for you, right at the end of the table. You looked at the chair, and then at the imp, giving it a shy smile. You sat down in the chair, and watched as the tall owl sat down at the opposite end of the long table. you saw him smiling sweetly at you, showing you off the table with all the amazing looking foods on it. "it all looks so good..!" you praised, looking at all the food infront of you. "oh, why I'm blissful that you like it! it was well done by our servants, but they do not want to be credited about it. how strange...! now! let's eat, shall we?" he clapped his hands together with an excited tone, now grabbing his knife and fork, and putting anything that he liked on his plate. you did the same, grabbing a leg of the amazingly cooked chicken, a salad, and a few tamales (the comments here lmaooo).

you happily stabbed a piece of the chicken with your fork, and put it in your mouth with pure delight. it tasted marvulous! as you looked at Stolas, you could get he was enjoying his food as well. but... you could see something.. bothering him. he ate quite slower than an average person or creature would, and didn't even let out a word. you guessed his all cheery and excited words before were a mask, so you wouldn't worry. but it was too obvious something happened.

"Stolas? are you alright..?" you asked him after you finished half of your plate. "huh? oh! yes, everything is fine, just.. a little drowned in thought, that's all" he said with a cute chuckle in the end. for a demon, he sure had a sensitive heart.

instead of keeping quiet, you frowned at him, now getting more worried than before. "it doesn't look like you're alright.." you told him softly. "what were you thinking about?"

the tall owl kept quiet for a second, then let out a soft, yet long sigh. "my wife..." he confessed quietly. "things... aren't the way I expected them to be" he continued, looking down at his plate. "all she ever cares about is royalty, and a good name. her 'sweet' and kind persona you see on television are.. all lies. she..." he let it all out, breathing shakingly. "she abuses me"

you widened your eyes at his words, as your mouth was wide open. the prince of hell... suffers from domestic abuse in secret...? "what... what does she do to you?" you asked him shakingly, your worry growing bigger and bigger as you look at him. "most of the times, she uses words against me. but... sometimes, she can get to the level of... throwing things at me" he told you, hugging himself lightly, trying to calm himself down.

you showed him a very sympathic expression, as you wished the table wasn't this long, so you could reach him. you got up from your chair quietly, and walked to him slowly, without him noticing you were coming. you hesitated as you reached him, but still forced yourself to do so. you gently put your hand on his shouler, looking at his face with a sympathic expression.

the owl widened his eyes at the physical contact, and looked over to you. as he realized you were trying to comfort him, he showed the most warm smile you ever saw, not even a human smiled at you like that. he reached your hand with his, and tapped on it gently as an appretiation.

you blushed red at his expression, and felt your body melt as you felt the soft fabric of his black glove pat on your hand. you gulped lightly, but still smiled at him back, happy that at least he feels better now. then, your smile dropped again as you looked at the picture of them again. "but... what about your daughter?" you asked him. "luckily, she is safe.. she knows about me and Stella, and seeks my attention more because of it. Stella never harmed her, and never will.. my daughter is such a good name to the royal family, that it must be protected in all cost" he sighed.

"but.. aren't you a good name to the royal family as well?" you asked. he paused at your question, and looked over at the photo as well. "why yes, of course. my wife just.. has anger issues, that's all. I had to marry her, since hell needs a prince AND a princess." he explained, then looked at his daughter in the picture. "ayy.. I just want my Via to be old enough, so she could have the crown, so she could rule with me instead of Stella"

as you looked at him again, you could understand that his daughter meant the world to him. you smiled softly at that, now seeing his true form. in televition, he was needed to show up scary, and sexy to both scare and entertain the people watching him. but in real life, he was a gentle soul, a family man. he sure didn't deserve any of this pain. and you needed to find a way to save him.
