It's the next day and I woke up super excited, I never really had a crush before and it's a bit weird. {Outfit Above} I don't even know if he admires me the way I admire him...after all I still don't really know who he is.
My sister is sketching with charcoal on her easel and I'm playing around with my guitar when Elijah arrives and leans against the doorway as he knocks on the door. Davina and I looks up and I smile at him as he holds up several pages of his mothers grimoire wrapped in a cloth. "I made you a promise."
My sister gets excitedly. "Come in!" He comes in and hands my sister the pages and she goes to her desk. I smile shyly as I look down at my guitar. I have no idea that liking someone felt this good.
"Hello, Delilah." He speaks and I continue to look down.
"Hi, Elijah." He sits on side of me and gently place his hand on my cheek. He makes me look up at him and I blush as soon as I see his pretty brown eyes. "How did it feel to finally sleep in a bed?"
"Surprisingly I kept tossing and turning." I frown at his response quite confused. "Only because I didn't hear the sound of your voice as I tried to fall asleep." I blush and look away from the vampire. That was literally so sweet, I can't believe I'm actually falling for the enemy.
"Um, so Um." I clear my throat. "What kind of spell did you bring for my sister?" I get up and walk to her desk as she spreads one of the pages of his mothers grimoire on her table and reads it.
Elijah holds an elaborately woven knot of rope in his hands. "It's a spell of unknotting?" My sister asked confused.
He holds up the knot. "This is a sanguinum knot. The witches use it as representational magic. If you can unknot this using that spell, you will have taken a step towards learning control. This is one of my mother's later spells. It requires much more power than you realize. Now, if you can perform this, then I shall return with another page." He walks toward the door, then turns back to us. "A spell of your choosing, next time."
Elijah smiles at Davina warmly, then looks over towards me and I walk over to the door. "Thank you, seriously."
"Anything I can do to help. Maybe one day when your finally get tired of this sorry excuse for a bedroom. I can show you more of what I have to offer." He takes my hand in his and kisses it before he leaves. Davina looks at me and smile before turning back to the spell and the knot on her table.
"I like him." She says and I roll my eyes as I go to have a seat.
"Is it wrong that I actually do like him as well?" I play with my bracelet and smile as I think about the man in the suit. I don't know what is about him, I just love the way he pulls me in, and everytime he pops up in my mind I smile. It's not like I want to like him, but I just do. I also don't want Marcel to be disappointed with that fact that I do like him, if Marcel finds out he'll be absolutely pissed at me.
~Time Skip~
Sitting here in the attic, Davina continues to work on the unlinking spell Elijah gave her and I sit in front of her. She holds her hands over the knot and reads the incantation from the page. She's clearly unfamiliar with Latin and mispronounces the words. "No, it's Phesmatos omnio legares cordate sangorium." She looks at me and sighs.
"This is stupid, we were barely taught Latin." She drops her hands and roll her eyes. "I can't do this."
"Just try, D."
She stares at the knot. "Phesmatos omnio legares coldate sangorium." It doesn't move or change. She exhales in frustration and runs her hand through her hair before angrily hitting her easel.
