I can hear Danny even before he steps into our house. "Evelyn!" I'm sitting on the couch reading a book when he bursts into the room. "I'm cleared! I'm ready for duty, training and flying again!!" He's so happy. "So you wanna see some sunsets over Pearl Harbor in maybe two months time?" He asks and winks at me. I laugh "I would love to see some sunsets over Pearl Harbor with you Danny." He picks me up from the couch and kisses me. His one hand on my cheek, the other on my waist. My hand on his back, the other on his neck. It's getting more heated and he pushes me towards the bedroom. We reach the bedroom and he pushes my body softly into the door, making it close behind me.

~Danny~
June 24th 1942.
I'm on my way to the base. I'll start to train recruits again today. I start by finding my superior, he has the schemes and plans for my training hours and will lead me to the squads I'll be training. When I step into his office I salute him and he says "Good morning Major Walker! Are you ready to start working?" I nod "Yes Sir!" He nods "Good, I have your schemes and squads here. You'll be training squad 1, 2, 7, 10, 12, 16 and 17. Almost all of them will be sent to the fastland in 1 months time to serve our country and help the Allied forces." I nod and answer "Yes Sir!" He smiles at me "Good, I'll show you to squad 1, they are supposed to be at their house waiting for you now." I nod "That's perfect Sir." He leads the way out of the door and we walk for a couple of minutes. Suddenly he stops in front of one of the houses next to Hangar A. This is the one, I'll leave you to it then. I nod and answer "Thank you Sir, I'll do you proud." He smiles and says "I know you will!" I knock on the door and a soldier in uniform opens the door. "Major Walker! Good morning." He says and tributes. I smile at him "Good morning!"
I enter the room and they all tribute for me. I smile and start to talk "Good morning soldiers. My name is Major Danny Walker and I'll be training you to join the Allied Forces in about a month. I would like to start by getting know your names and then we'll head over to the hangar where we will meet my friend and aircraft mechanic and pilot Gooz. He'll start out by teaching you about all of the buttons and stuff and then we'll start theory tomorrow. Any questions?" I look around and they all say "No Sir!" I smile at them and take out my clipboard. The first page has a list of all of their names and I start by saying them all out loud and learning the names to the faces.
"Aaron Rodgers,
Ben Johnson,
Billy Brown,
Bob Green,
Danny Williams,
John Wood,
Larry King,
Marc Smith..."
(And so on)

We finally get through the list and start to move towards the hangar. One of the soldiers come up to me and asks "Sir, may I ask you something?" I look at him recognizes him as Billy Brown and answer "Yes of course, what's on your mind?" He sighs "Sir, I really wanna serve America... But I'm really nervous that I might not be good enough. That I'll just be a problem for my squad members" I look at him but keeps on walking. "Listen lieutenant Brown, you have passed the nurse check and you are here to serve your country. It's my job to make sure you look the part and can actually handle a plane. You will be ready when we reach your departure day." He nods and answers me with a bit more confidence "Yes Sir."

Gooz is standing, waiting for us when we get there, next to Red. "Everyone this is Captain Wood and Captain Winkle. They were with me through both the Pearl Harbor attack and the Doolittle raid, you can not find better people to train you along with me. Understood?"
"Yes Sir!" ekkoes from their mouths and Gooz takes over.

While Gooz talks, Red gives me a nudge in the side "You look hella tired. Have you even slept?" I smile and look at him before answering "Not much." And winks. He grins but answers me then "Fair enough."
