SEATTLE, WA. February 2nd, 1991.

"You still look the exact same." Aurora's mother, Ophelia, says as she examines her daughter.

"You're dead." Aurora states, disregarding her mother's comment, "I went to your funeral." She then adds.

"That's what everyone was supposed to believe." Ophelia states.

"This isn't- You're not..." Aurora trails off, "I'm dreaming or hallucinating or something." Aurora states, stepping back and rubbing her eyes.

"Honey, I know it's hard to believe, but if I could just explain then maybe you might understand." Ophelia says calmly.

"Why on earth are you here on my doorstep so early in the morning?" Aurora asks, "And how do you know where I live?" She then questions, whispering loudly, hoping not to wake up Dave.

"I can explain it all at an appropriate hour, but perhaps if I could just stay on your couch until it's day?" Ophelia suggest.

Aurora sighs, before moving out of the way for her mother to walk in.

"It's a lovely place you got here." Ophelia states, smiling and Aurora goes to her bedroom and quietly takes a blanket off the edge of bed, before handing it to her mother.

"Thank you dear, I'm so sorry this is all so sudden." Ophelia apologies, "Goodnight." Aurora says sternly, turning around and going back into the bedroom where she climbs back into bed with Dave.

Dave moves closer to Aurora and wraps an arm around her comfortingly.

As much as Aurora wants to hug her mother tightly and tell her how much she has missed her after being separated from her for so long, she's furious at how she's just turned up at her doorstep when she is dead.

Aurora went to Ophelia's funeral, she grieved and for her mother to show up randomly five years later like nothing has happened is a shock to her.

Aurora's mind starts spinning with questions...

How is she alive?

Does my Dad know?

Does he have something to do with this?

Aurora decides she should probably just fall asleep instead of staying up all night when her answers can be answered in the morning.

Slowly but surely, Aurora falls asleep in Dave's embrace, but it's not until 7:00am in the morning that she begins to wake up due to her body shaking and Dave whispering to her loudly.

"There's a homeless woman on our couch!" Dave whispers, and Aurora pulls the blanket back over her head to block out the light.

"It's not a homeless person it's my mother." Aurora states, her sentence muffled but Dave still understood.

Dave pulled the blanket back, "What?!" He exclaims.

"She came late last night and apparently she's not dead, she's very much alive." Aurora says, rubbing her eyes and sitting up.

"I'm so confused." Dave states, sitting down beside Aurora on the bed.

"So am I, she's going to explain it to me today, maybe over lunch or something." Aurora says, "Remember you have to open the store today, and I have to go sign some papers back in Olympia with Kurt and Chris." Dave states, reminding Aurora of their tasks that have to be completed today.

Aurora groans, remembering that she has a lot to do today at the record shop and she'll most likely have to drag her mother with her.

"Looks like she's coming to the shop with me." Aurora states, and she gets up, walking out of the living room and into the lounge room.
