Y/N Weasley woke up with a start that morning.
It wasn't because she had seen a nightmare, or anything- in fact, thankfully she hadn't seen any nightmares since after, she'd returned back home, last year.
Instead, her mother's loud yells were what had woken her.
".. COULD HAVE DIED, COULD'VE BEEN SEEN-! YOU COULD'VE LOST YOUR FATHER'S JOB!"
Half-curious and half-concerned, Y/N jumped out of bed, and grabbing her glasses, ran downstairs.
Harry Potter looked around his friend's house. The kitchen was small and rather cramped. There was a scrubbed wooden table and chairs in the middle.
He had never been in a wizard house before.
The clock on the wall opposite him had only one hand and no numbers at all. Written around the edge were things like 'Time to make tea, Time to feed the chickens, and You’re late.'
Books were stacked three deep on the mantelpiece, books with titles like Charm Your Own Cheese, Enchantment in Baking, and One Minute Feasts-It’s Magic!
And unless Harry’s ears were deceiving him, the old radio next to the sink had just announced that coming up was “Witching Hour, with the popular singing sorceress, Celestina Warbeck.”
Ron looked a bit embarrassed, "It's not much."
"I think, it's brilliant." said Harry in awe.
The thumping of footsteps, down the stairs soon reached Harry's ears.
"Harry?" A familiar voice called out.
He looked up and noticed the H/C haired girl staring at him, in surprise. She broke into a massive grin and rushed forward to embrace him. He hugged her back, excitedly.
Y/N pulled away, "I'd ask you, how you're here.. but- before I do that, happy birthday!"
"Thanks!"
"So.. how are you here?"
"Well-"
"It was really all your idea, Y/N." George began.
She turned to them, "What?"
"Yeah, mum blame her. She's the one who gave the idea to use the car." Fred joined in, taking a bite of the apple with a loud crunch.
"Wha-"
Mrs. Weasley turned towards her daughter with a disappointed gaze, as the twins cracked into grins.
Y/N's eyes widened, "Listen here you little-"
"Y/N." Their mother said, sternly.
"It wasn't me!"
Fred tutted, "Oh, how disappointed we are in you, Y/N."
"Yeah, real gutted."
Mrs. Weasley shook her head and arranged the table, "Sit down for breakfast now and someone call-"
A squeal followed the appearance of a small-redheaded figure in a long night-dress. She immediately hid behind her sister's slightly taller figure.
Y/N chuckled, "Harry, meet Ginny."
The small girl peeked out, hesitantly.
Harry offered his hand. She slowly shook it.
"She's been wanting to meet you whole summer. It's annoying, really." Ron said, taking a seat.
"I have not!" Ginny responded, embarrassed and ran back to her room.
Mrs. Weasley was clattering around, cooking breakfast a little haphazardly, throwing dirty looks at her sons and Y/N as she threw sausages into the frying pan.
