Amanda POV
Olivia:you better have A damn good explanation for this Amanda...(she said looking more pist then ever.)
Amanda:Liv..... (I said started.) I... Yeah i do... Emmie called me and said she was in trouble. I came and found a drunk guy in her bed and Emmie hiding under the bed scared to death.
Olivia:And you didn't think maybe calling it in would of been a good idea? Amanda you could have been hurt or Emmie. What if someone had a gun you didn't know about? Please call me next time I'll be here.
Amanda:I'm sorry captain. I was just scared for Emmie... (I said holding Emmie in my arms.) How did you know i was here anyway?
Olivia:Well i didn't know. I was driving by on my way home when I saw your car and your door was open. Let this be the last time Amanda or you'll be on desk duty. (She said rubbing her forehead.)
Amanda:yes captain. Again I'm sorry. What's going to happen to emmie?
Olivia: well considering its 12am I doubt child services would be open so I guess you can take her with you for the night. But we are calling social services first thing tomorrow.
Amanda: yes of course. Thank you so much.
I went in to Emmie's room and grabbed her whatever clothes she had in her drawers which wasn't much. I put that in a backpack I found and left the house.
Amanda: So you and I are going to have a sleepover at my house tonight ok?(I asked looking at Emmie in the mirror. She just nodded her head.)
After getting home i went ahead and made Emmies bed in the guest room i had. I showered her and was getting her ready for bed.
Emmie: manda, will i live here for ever?( She asked while i was putting her hair into braids.)
Amanda: I'm not sure of that yet sweets. But i can promise that wherever you go you'll be safe. Ready for bed (i asked her after finishing her hair)
She nodded so i picked her up and took her to the bed i had made for her.
Amanda: Goodnight sweet pea. Sleep tight. (I said kissing her forehead.) You know where my room is ok? My door is open if you need anything.
After leaving her room i went to my room and grabbed my PJs. Not even 5 min later I see Emmie at my door.
Amanda: what's wrong love? You ok?
Emmie:I'm scared Manda.( She said with tears in her eyes.
Amanda: you can come sleep in my bed tonight how about that? ( i asked patting the spot next to me.)
She jumped on my bed and after playing with her hair she fell asleep and me soon after.
