I won't leave you

Amanda's POV

Leaving emmie with her mom was hard. Even though I tried to calm her and explain to her that her dad wasn't coming back she still cried. To say her mom wasn't worried about her is an understatement. All she kept asking was if she could bail her husband out soon. Eventually we had to leave so I had no choice but leave emmie crying. The rest of the day dragged on with only paperwork to be done. As the night was coming I was exhausted and just wanted to be home.

Olivia: hey amanda can you run these files to the next room for me please? After your done go ahead and head home you've had a tough day.(she said patting my shoulder)

Amanda:thanks liv. (I said smiling at her)

After I was done I picked up some quick dinner and headed home but not before i passed by emmies house. Everything looked fine and lights were off so maybe she was asleep. After dinner I put on a movie to distract me from everything that had happend. Somewhere in between the movie I ended up falling asleep and woke up to my phone ringing. I picked up my phone without looking just thinking it might be Olivia.

Amanda: Rollins(I said in a tired voice.)

****:manda...(I heard a little whisper and some small crying)

Amanda:who is this?hello

***:I need you manda..(then i knew it was emmie. I got up as fast as i could and grabbed my keys and jacket and headed out the door. )

Amanda: emmie?babygirl what's wrong? Are you hurt?

Emmie:my mommy has her scary friends over and shes drunk...(she said crying) I'm scared.

Amanda:emmie don't cry sweet girl I'm on my way ok? Just relax. Where are you right now?

Emmie:under my bed in my room.

Amanda:ok just stay right there ok?(I said while starting the car)

Once I got there I busted the door open to see emmies mom past out drunk on the couch with a bottle in her hand. I went down the hall opening every door until I came up to the last door. I opened it and saw a guy past out on a twin size bed.i heard little sniffles coming from under the bed.

Amanda:Emmie baby you could come out.its me Amanda.(I said while putting my gun away and bending down.)

Emmie: manda!!(she said hugging me and crying)

Amanda:it's ok babygirl I got you.

After a couple seconds I got up with emmie in my arms and walked towards the door when I saw Olivia with her gun drawn. As soon as she saw me she put the gun down.

Olivia:you better have A damn good explanation for this Amanda...(she said looking more pist then ever.)
