It had been some time since Logan's "incident" Kendall and Roman have being running the company in his place despite Logan's disapproval. Although Logan would never say it out loud, he is not ready to jump back into being CEO. He can barely walk and still needs more time to recover. He's employed Rose to be his man on the inside to "check in" on her brothers. Rose doesn't quite like the idea that her dad is having her spy on her other siblings but she's been doing anything to make him happy after almost losing him. Logan's decided that Rose should move her Fashion and Cosmetics devision into the Waystar headquarters to be close to him , which is the perfect excuse for Rose to be "dropping in" all the time to over see the move. She was very approving of this idea, but unknown to Logan it is because not only will she be sharing a building with her family but also Greg, who she's developed a bit of a crush on and will jump at the chance to always be conveniently around him.
Today was one of her free days and decided to do one these drop ins. Rose's cover today to stop by is to meet with contractors for her office and bring everyone coffee.
Rose's first stop is the Parks and Cruise devision to Visit Tom, and of course Greg- who's landed maybe the worst job at Waystar, working for Tom. She stops by Tom's office and gives him a coffee and the have some small talk before she makes her way to Greg's cubicle.
"Knock Knock," Rose says to Greg as she comes up behind him. She hands him a coffee and flirtatiously hops up to sit on the edge of his desk.
Rose: So will I be seeing you at the gala tonight?
Greg: Oh yes, uh most definitely! I was actually surprised to get invited and stuff but yeah I'm lookin forward to it!
After their little exchange Rose makes her way up to see Kendall and Roman.
Rose: Hey bitches whats up, I brought coffee!
Roman: Did you know dad is fucking here?
Rose: No I had no idea Rome I'm not his keeper??
Kendall: I mean its obviously fast, but you know.. good?
Rome: Oh Fuck off Ken, you'd love if his brain fell out the back of his head.
Rose: Okay... well this seems like my cue to leave. I'll see you weirdos tonight.
Later that evening was the Roy Endowment Creative New York Gala. Where for a night the Roy's get to dote on their good acts and services to the community, while competing with who's got the most beautiful and expensive gown. This was a competition that Rose Roy was very good at. She had loved these types of events since she was a little girl. Getting dressed up all fancy and knowing she was the pretties one there. Tonight was no different, Rose was wearing a neon pink vintage gown by Jean Paul Gaultier. Inside she gets photographed on the little red carpet with the event branding behind it, drawing the eyes of everyone around. This was an average day for her. Rose has be the most sought after nepotism kid in the fashion industry since she walked in her first NY fashion week at 14. Since then she'd been on more red carpets than she could keep count of. After the photo op she makes her way to the bar where she sees Greg.
"Holy shit you look like a real life uh Malibu barbie," Greg says as he offers Rose a drink.
"I'm hoping thats a complement?" Rose responds playfully taking the drink from him, lingering her touch on his hand.
Nervously he responds, "Oh no yeah, that was supposed to be a complement, i mean yeah you just look really pretty...is what i meant." Greg smiles trying to save himself from possibly offending her.
"Oh I'm totally fucking with you greg don't worry," Rose says.
They share a laugh (greg's being out of relief)
*Tom approaches behind greg and interjects into the conversion*
Tom: (to greg) Mr. Bond, I've been expecting you
Greg: *greg chuckles* hey!
Tom: Was I interrupting something here? Rose you look beautiful as always...
Rose: Thank you Tom and we were just-
Greg: (interrupting her) Yeah we were just chit chatin you know...
Tom: (to Greg) Where are you sitting, man?
Greg: ummm
Tom: In the basement? Out by the dumpsters? Maybe we can trade and you can seduce a wealthy window with your sad eyes?
Rose: Tom you are so weird... (she sharply whispers to tom as shes walking away)- no need to be an ass.
Greg throws his hands up at Tom in show of his annoyance. The few times Greg finds himself alone with Rose some family member seems to step in and ruin it.
Rose finds her way to her seat next to her mother in time for Connor to have a breakdown about the butter being cold and Logan to make his speech, where he announces that he's "officially back." Rose to no longer have to spy on Ken and Rome but this announcement seemed to have been unbeknownst most everyone in the family which will create turmoil that Rose wants nothing to do with.
