NEW LIFE

;)

5 years later...

It was a bit windy today. Clouds were flying in front of the sun, hiding the light and warmth it brought with it while a chilly breeze tousled Raya's hair out of his face. He stared out over the horizon, the beautiful warm colours from the sunset seeping through the grey clouds passing by and reflecting it on the small waves down below. He had seen better sunsets, if he had to be honest, but enjoyed it nonetheless.

Lost in thought, he couldn't help but smile when footsteps were heard stepping closer before warm hands then met his skin. They made their way around his waist and stayed there while a chin placed itself onto his shoulder, a warm breath tickling his neck. "What are you thinking about?" That familiar voice softly asked, those pretty lips nipping at his jaw.

Raya sighed out slowly, his own hands finding the ones around him to hold onto. "Everything." The voice behind him hummed at that. "I'm just happy, and at peace, I suppose."

Everything changed so fast these last couple of years. Sometimes it was hard to digest or even think about what had happened. Not everything had gone well, of course, but they eventually made it. They found their happy place. And bit by bit they had been getting better physical, but also mentally. With all the nightmares and guilt of killing someone, it took awhile to fully understand and move on.

Raya turned around in the warm arms and stared up into those beautiful, onyx eyes he so adored. Lixian smiled down at him in return, his long hair pulled back into a messy bun showing his face. He leaned in and softly kissed his lips, so sweet and gentle that Raya couldn't help but follow them when they tried to leave. Lixian chuckled against his mouth and deepened it, cupping one of his human's cheeks to angle him better.

"You're distracting me again." Lixian mumbled after a few seconds. "I came to get you, supper's ready." He spoke between kisses.

"It can wait." Raya stubbornly said.

Lixian smirked, but did won over his willpower and held back. "I don't want it to get cold, let's go."

Raya pouted, which caused the demon's mouth to form into a pout as well. "I tried really hard on this one, I know it's gonna be good this time. I promise."

"You promising now? Well then, I guess we have to hurry up and see!" Raya said with a chuckle. He grabbed one of Lixian's hands and pulled the demon after him, laughing as he stumbled unsteadily at the sudden force.

The sand almost made them trip multiple times, but they safely made it to the end of the beach and onto the stone path. Raya screeched out as he was suddenly up in the air and wrapped in warm arms again, feet kicking around aimlessly while his arms looped around Lixian's neck in fear of falling. "Put me down!"

Lixian laughed as he held him closer, loving the ridiculous snort Raya let out as he tried to tickle the demon in hopes he would let go. "You little— Why aren't you ticklish?"

"Let's not be childish now, you already knew that fact." Lixian laughed, not wanting to admit he adored this side of Raya. It had been far too long since he last saw it. The way his cheeks coloured or that cute sound of his giggle he would let escape when he couldn't hold it in. It had been hard these last couple of years, but seeing how they are doing now, it may have been worth it after all.

He carried Raya all the way back into their cabin and placed him down onto the table, a silly smirk playing on the demon's lips when stepping in between those thighs. "Just wanted to hold you close for a bit." He reasoned softly, the playful twinkle in his eyes not going unnoticed.
