Chapter 6: Surprises

*...Beep...Beep...Beep...*

"Ugh..." I wake up to the beeping disturbance of the alarm clock. I smashed my hand on top of the alarm clock. I open my eyes, but my vision is quite blurry. I rub my eyes hoping to fix my eyes. As my senses begin to function, I felt two little arms around my waist. I looked down to see a riolu hugging me to a new universe. I was in awe at the sight, but I shook my head quickly and gently shake riolu to wake.

"Wake up riolu, we got a big day ahead of us," I say softly. She shuffles a little bit before going back to sleep. I sigh and giggle before trying again. I nudge her again a little harder. She shuffles again making a cute little squeak. She yawns before letting go and opening her eyes. She looks up at me before her face turns crimson red. I chuckle as I pulled the sheets off of us. She quickly jumps out of bed and ran out of the room. I got up and change into my everyday clothes. I left my room to see riolu sitting down at the dining table. I shook my a little bit sad knowing we ran out of food.

"Riolu, we are going to have to wait for a little bit," I said softly. She looks back at me with a confused face.

"What, why?" She whined. I look at her with an annoyed face.

"We ran out of food," I say. She looked at me shocked before she decided to ask again.

"What are we going to do now?" She asks, worry filling her voice in my head.

"We are going to the grocery store," I answered. She looked at me with a confused face. I knew what she was about to ask since she was a Pokemon.

"The grocery store is where we, the humans, go to buy food," I answer. She looks at me with a surprised face. I laugh at the state of her face.

"How did you know I was going to ask that?" She asked, surprise filling her voice. I chuckle.

"Come on, we have to go. We don't want to be late to the grocery store." I stated. I walked to the door and opened the door. Riolu was behind me as left the house.

"So do you want to walk to the store or drive there?" I asked kind of hoping to walk there. She looks at me before she turns red. I started to get the idea of what she thinking.

"Okay, let's walk," I smiled. She looked at me shocked, but turn into suspicious.

30 minutes later

We started walking down the sidewalk. It was nice, but awkward due to it being really quiet.

"So... Do you want to talk about anything?" I say trying to strike up a conversation. She looks to think about something.

"Eh, I guess I have nothing to talk about," riolu replied. I nodded and continue to walk. 'It felt nice to just walk in silence. But it did seem strange that riolu was giving weird looks when I answered before she could,' I thought. 'It did seem strange, I just had this feeling every time she ask. I already know the answer to it.' I say in deep thought.

"Um... Hello?" A voice rang in my head. I shook my head to clear my mind and looked at riolu.

"Yeah?" I answered. I have this feeling again.

"Oh, you were going to ask what I was thinking, right?" She looked at me with squinted eyes. I chuckle nervously.

"Yeah, but how do you know what to say before I ask?" She asked slightly frustrated. I shrugged my shoulders.

"I don't know, I just have this feeling that tells me what is about to happen," I say bluntly. She nodded her head as she understands now what is happening.

"I see, you have arua." She said. I was shocked. 'I have arua, wow!' I thought. I held a proud face. I heard riolu giggling next to me. I laugh as well.
