• Safe and Sound •

You open your eyes and you see clouds. You closed your eyes again and breathe heavily- thinking.. Am I in heaven? 

You opened your eyes and you realized you're on a bed, a very huge and warm bed. Inspecting yourself you also noticed bandage on your wrist. Last thing you remembered is being in your room as you collapse on the floor- as every part of your body screams pain. You also attempted to end all of it by cutting your wrist yet-- you're still alive 

"where.. am I.." you mumbled when the door swung open- revealing the handsome prince you've met before. His mask by his waist and hands carrying a tray of food. 

Dream looked up at you as his eyes widened. 
"You're awake!" He carefully rushed towards you and puts down the tray by the table. He sat beside you and checked everything before looking back up at you
"Are you okay? How do you feel"

'Conflicted' 

'why am I here again?' you asked yourself 

Dream let out a sigh as he took your hand. 
"I'm sorry.." 

you looked up at him confused 
"sorry for what?"

Dream didn't replied and just stares at you. He runs the back of his hand onto your cheeks 
"what happened to you? why is your body filled with bruises?" 

You looked away. You didn't want to remember any of it- or even think about it.. You don't even know if the man beside you is someone you could trust. You're thinking- what if he's like them? What if one day he'll hurt you too? 
You're scared to trust- even if right now.. he's the first person who's asking and showing concern to you

"It's okay if you don't want to answer. You can eat and rest then you can go back home if you want t-"

"NO!" You yelled. Dream was startled to your sudden action, your eyes were wide and is showing fear. "I DON'T WANNA GO BACK!" You yelled as your eyes slowly filled with tears 
"I- I DON'T I-" 

Dream didn't question it further and pulled you in a hug. He caressed your hair as he hugs you tight.
"Shh.. alright.. you're not going back.." 

You stopped for a second then soon find yourself hugging back Dream as you finally cry loudly.

The two of you stayed like that til you fell asleep again. Dream carefully laid you down and pulled up the blanket. He moved your hair onto the side and was worried 
"Who are you afraid of? where do you belong?" Dream whispered 

He sits up while his hand is on your forehead..
"You're like a child you know.. you didn't even eat yet- but you fell asleep again" 

The door once again swung open revealing Bad, Sapnap and George. 

 "Is she-"-Bad

"Shh" Dream shushed before any of them talk. He then stood up from the bed and pulled his friends out of your room before talking. 

"Is she okay?"-Bad

"The physician said that she should be feeling better after few days of rest. They also treated her bruises and gave her some healing potion"-Dream 

"Did she wake up already?"-Sapnap

"Yes"-Dream 

"Well? What happened to her? Where did she come from and how did she-"-Sapnap 

Dream crossed his arms and leaned onto the wall. 
"I don't know. She suddenly started crying and- she fell asleep after that" 

"But Dream.. you shouldn't trust her just like that. What if this girl is dangerous or something? We don't even know where she came from" - Bad 

"That's why its better if I can keep a close eye on her .. if she ever do something fishy or suspicious. I too still have questions bad but I can't ask her if she's like that. Lets wait for her to heal then maybe she'll say something" - Dream 

"I don't think she's dangerous or something- she's just mysterious" all eyes shifted to George 

"Mysterious huh.."-Dream 

"Yeah.. besides she's your sister's friend right? what harm could she possibly do?"-George 

"Its still better if we're careful George. Dream is technically the king.. this kingdom is on your hands Dream" -Bad

"I know my responsibilities as the ruler Bad. Don't worry about it.."

"Y/n!" 

"Haah!" You suddenly sit up when you heard your name being called, you immediately saw Drista sitting beside you- also looked worried 
"Drista.."

"Y/n! You had me worried about you! What happened to you?" 

You hugged your knees and tried hard not to cry in front of your old friend. 
"Can I.. stay here in your world for a while? I don't wanna go back Drista"

Drista's face lit up 
"Of course you can! As long as you don't eat eggs you can stay as long as you want!" 

"Thank you Drista" You smiled. "It's just that.. I think I'll be safer and better in here for now" you looked down as you speak
"Back home was horrible- I'm not even doing anything wrong they just- I don't know what they want from me.. I think they want me dead" You cried 

Drista sits closer to you, yet couldn't touch you. 
"Hush hush.. It's okay.. you're safe now" 

"I don't even know that.. what if your brother is like them too?" 

"Dream's not like- whoever those people who hurt you. I might not be alive but I've been watching him too ever since. You can trust my brother"-Drista 

"I don't know.. I'm too scared to trust anyone.. you're the only one I truly trust right now Drista so please stay.. please" 

"I'm always around silly!" 

You badly wanna hug Drista yet you couldn't. The two of you continued conversing for quite some time until-

*grrrrrrrrrr*

Your stomach crumbles
