The morning dew is still crisp in the air. My hot breath warmed my hands as I sat in the cell awaiting my fate. That's when I saw them, the people who claimed they loved and cherished me. My own parents and twin brother, made their way to the iron cage making sure not to touch it before my father finally spoke up.

"So this is what scum looks like, it's a shame you are of my lineage but it's all for your brother you have to understand. You are weak, you are powerless, and you would only bring destruction to this kingdom. The fae wilds don't need you and your little daughter is never going to be welcomed into this family" He looked over signaling a guard to come over,

"Get her out it's almost time for the show" I look into my father's eyes tears welling at the corners of mine before I finally was able to speak,

"What did I ever do to you? If this is all to put Azrael in power, why make me the crown princess, how dare you bring my child into this? She's small and has done nothing to you....how can you be so cruel?!" I stand up feeling the iron burn my skin I wince in pain as I back away from the guard entering the cell they had locked me in,

"Don't touch me! Get away!" He forcefully grabs my arms pulling me out of my cell before he binds my hands behind my back,

"Are you going to let my child grow without her mother?! You sick twisted bastard"

My father quickly made his way to me striking my face with his blunt palm,

"Don't you ever speak to your king like that again you filthy swine!"

The guard then pushes me forward signaling me to walk,

"My lord, shall we head to the guillotine?" My father looks at me with disdain and disgust in his eyes before he turns to my mother,

"Let us go, soon this bug will no longer be a hindrance to us"

I watched as they turned their backs to me leaving the dimly lit room, but I saw my mother stop and look over her shoulder, her pitiful eyes meeting mine before she sharply turned away following after my father and brother.

Soon enough after walking down a long desolate hallway for what felt like forever we finally made it to two large wooden doors. Behind the doors I could hear whispers and the head butler welcoming the royal family, my family...that's when I remembered my little brother Adonis and my daughter they would have to see my fate.

My husband... the man I wanted to give my heart to and apologize to after all the things I had done and said to him. When the guards began to open the gates, the bright morning light hit my face, making me wince in shock at the sudden sensation.

I slowly opened my eyes to see the scene before me of the executioner on the platform waiting for me and my family with front-row seats. I stepped out making my way to the stage as the man set to kill me helped me up the steps and let me stand in the last spot I would ever be seen alive in.

"Stop it! Mommy! Come back, I don't wanna be alone"

I look over in shock seeing my young daughter running up to the stage, climbing it only to cling on to my leg tears streaming down her face and her little hands desperately holding on to my dress,

"Shhhh, it's okay" I slowly knelt so I was at eye level with her as I placed my forehead on hers,

"I'm here, and you'll be okay. Even if I'm not with you in person, I know that my love for you will always be with you and you'll never have to worry about it cause you also have Daddy, okay?" All my pent-up emotions started to rush out seeing the face of my only daughter being contorted with so much pain and regret at such a young age.

"It's okay I've got her"

I look up to see my youngest brother reaching down and grabbing the attention of Dawn,

"Hey Dawn, go with Uncle Adonis. He'll take you to Daddy and you're going to go home and be happy and healthy for me, okay?"

My daughter then makes eye contact with me her doe eyes she slowly nods her head and stands up before she leaves she leans over placing a small kiss on my forehead,

"Okay, Mommy...I'll miss you."

I watch as Adonis leads Dawn to her father. I look up to see him clenching his shirt with tears building on the corners of his eyes, he takes a moment to pick her up holding her head to his chest as his tears start streaming down his pale slender face. With what energy I have left I shakily whisper out,

'I'm sorry, I love you'

With that the executioner grabbed my head forcing it under the blade, before they dropped the blade my father stood up and planted himself in front of me,

"Any last words before your pitiful existence is put to an end?"

At that moment all my rage, and anger that had built up from everything this man had done to me finally boiled over the edge,

"I hope you go to hell you piece of shit, you are a power-hungry fool and I swear on my last breath that I'll make you pay tenfold for everything you've done to me, my mother, and my daughter. I'll make your life a living hell" With that I spit in his face, he threw himself back in shock before he reached his hand up and touched his face. He turns back to me with pure rage in his eyes before he yells out to the executioner,

"Drop the damned blade on this bitch!"

As I heard the blade falling from its position I saw my mother silently crying for me, and with that, everything went black.

Everything is quiet, but it's also warm. With that, my eyes slowly flutter open my body is sticky and covered in sweat and I look over to see my handmaid Fern opening the curtains to my room,

"Ah, so it was all a dream..."
