I didn't believe it when I heard what happened to her.
It shouldn't have happened.
It was a shock for all of us, we loved her, we don't want to lose her, and I hope we won't.
I can see my brother already becoming protective of her.
I don't blame him, he's had it hard in his life, I did to, but he was younger than me when mom died.
Papà kinda neglected us, so we stuck up for each other.
Bella is already getting the best things out of us, she's changing us.

"So, I think you guys have some questions?". He asked once he was seated.
Of course we did, all we know is that she was abused, nothing more, nothing less.
Her brothers don't seem happy whenever they hear about this subject, I don't blame them though.
Mattio and Apollo were playing with the wolves on the floor.
"Indeed, so umm, who?", said tia valentina this time.
"The people who raised her, they were two, they're dead now, that's how we found her", explained zio Riccardo.
"How, I mean was it just mental abuse?", asked nonna.
God I hope so.
"No, there were whip marks on her Umm back, and ...... words engraved on her ...body", breathed out Gianni.
The mood of the room became so tensed.
Whip marks? Words?
"What kind of words?", Ace was the one who asked this time, which honestly shocked me, he never really speaks loudly.
She's changing us.
"Words....... bad ones...... unpleasant ones", replied zip Riccardo in anger.
"Did they ever.... you know.... touch her?", questioned nonno this time.
I can sense everyone was sad and angry at the same time.
Everyone became interested in the answer.
"Not that we know, we didn't want to pressure her, but I don't think they did, if she would tell someone, we all know who that person will be", answered zio Riccardo.
We all knew of course, they're inseparable.
We all looked at Mattio who was still playing with the wolves, but obviously listening because he said.
"She didn't say anything about those times, she always talks about the present and sometimes the near future, but never the past".
I'm quite thankful for that, because I know she would tell him everything, and if something like that has happened to her, she would've told him.

The whip marks on her back.
She thinks of them as a reminder of failure.
