"Are you insane?! Why the hell would you reject his offer Za?"

I sighed.

"Because it's too good to be true Kat, I mean...who the hell just walks up to someone and offers up to pay off their debt? Someone who they don't even know, at that.

She rolled her eyes at me.

"You're overthinking it Zahara. You know we need the money."

"Overthinking it? Do you hear yourself Kat? A strange man walks up to me and offers to pay off sixty-five hundred dollars, just because he was feeling nice? Now even you know that that's BS."

Silas his door opened and he stepped outside, yawning and stretching out his arms.

"Why the fuck are y'all screaming like this at two in the morning?"

"Zahara is being stupid."

I glared at her but brought my attention back to Silas.

"Oh, shut the fuck up Silas, you're the reason we're in this mess in the first place!" I shouted at him. He was so damn lucky that we were friends and that I was unfortunately a very forgiving person, otherwise I'd have fired him on the spot.

"Hey! I said I was sorry Za, it was an accident. I didn't see the wires."

I rolled my eyes. "Of course you didn't."

I heard him groan.

"What are you guys fighting about anyway?"

Kat interrupted me before I could get the chance to reply.

"Last night, our Zahara here ended up receiving a nice offering to help in paying off Mr. Huang. His son, is willing to pay it off for us...FULLY and all Zahara has to do is go and work for him for a couple of months."

Silas his eyes widened. "That's it?"

She nodded eagerly. "Right! But she's being superstitious for no reason, thinks that he's trying to set her up."

Silas played with the back of his neck. He didn't seem that excited about Mr. Huang junior his proposition either.

"Hmm...I don't know Kat. It does seem just a tad bit too true to be real and genuine."

She threw her hands up in the air. "Ugh, for fucks sake you guys! How the fuck else do y'all plan on paying off this debt? It's not like any of us have any kind of money in our bank accounts to do so, not even if we were to unify them."

I massaged my temples. I had yet to sleep for the day. Last night I was able to barely convince Mr. Huang senior into giving me time to pay him off. He was extremely disappointed in me and wanted his money back as soon as possible.

We had to clean everything up after the guests had all left. We finished at around 11 PM and were home at around 12.30 AM. I mentioned Mr. Huang junior his proposition to Kat, after having spent the night scolding Silas and we had been up arguing ever since.
