"What happened? All I remember is ... MY LIMBS! WHERE ARE THEY!?" yelled Charlotte.
"Darling your limbs were amputated cause the doctors said that the cancer had spread to your limbs." said her mother while looking down.
What will Lillian think of me? We had just begun being friends and now ... she has another reason to hate me. Tears started to form in her eyes as she stared at her body, a broken mess.
I can't wait! I'm going to see Charlie today! I wonder if she'll let me call that? I have her favorite chocolates and a huge surprise! Thought Lillien as she happily got into her car and drove to the hospital. She arrived at the hospital and was headed to Charlotte's room when she overheard a few doctors talking.
"You know that patient, Charlotte?" said a doctor with bright red hair.
"Yes I do" said one with blonde and black hair.
"I heard that there is no treatment as her health drastically declined in a matter of days." said the red haired doctor.
"Why yes she is going to die when it hits the beginning of winter." said the green haired elf nurse.
" Such a sad, sad ending for a sweet little girl. Did you know she also had to have all limbs removed except for her right arm?" butted in another nurse.
W-What? No, this can't be! How could this be happening? I thought she'll be better soon and come back. Tears started to drip down her face ruining her makeup, her legs gave away and she sobbed on the ground.
I wonder where Lillian is? She said she'll be here soon. Is she playing with me? Is she lying? Horrible thoughts raced through Charlotte's mind. I should go outside for a bit to calm down. "Nurse? Can I go outside for a stroll?" asked Charlotte.
"Of course honey bun! Let me get the wheelchair ready, I'll be back in the time it takes for a dog to bark!" said the nurse as she went her way.
After a few moments which is way longer than it would take a dog to bark. " Here is the wheelchair darling, let's get you seated." said the nurse as she hoisted Charlotte up from the bed and onto the wheelchair. They were going through the hallways when Charlotte heard someone crying behind a wall.
"Could you take me to that wall I think someone is crying" worried Charlotte
That voice it's Charlotte's! I have to see her. Charlotte got up and showed herself, mascara running down her face mixing in with her foundation and blush.
"L-Lillian?" said Charlotte in astonishment.
"Charlotte, what happened?" said Lillian. The once lively girl now only a shell of her former self. Sunken eyes, bloody bandages, her once shiny and long hair now short and dull, and the markings along her face now can be seen clearly. Tears once again dripped down her face. It's your fault. IT'S YOUR FAULT! No! It isn't! The horrid voices came up again dragging her down like anchors, she saw the light get farther and farther away and her lungs began to ache.
"Lillian! Are you okay?!" said Charlotte as she tried to help her friend up. Then Lillian passed out onto the floor.
