Aphmau's POV
It was around lunch when I was finally able to get Tony's number into my phone, opting to text him instead of calling.Messages:
Meet me at the Phoenix Park tonight?
Tony: Who is this?
Aphmau
Don't tell any of the few or Thor
Jin can't know eitherTony: Why?
I left for a reason
Midnight? The rest of the convention went on as if nothing had happened and around six, we went to go eat out. Me, my daughter, and my roommates got home around eight and all of them almost immediately went to bed. It was way too convenient but I was not about to complain. Around half past eleven I shrugged on my police jacket and quietly made way out the front door. Phoenix Park was nearby but not nearby enough for me to be early. As I neared the entrance, I spotted Tony nervously tapping his foot while standing. I smiled slightly, willing myself not to cry at another thing that my husband picked up from his father. My father-in-law spotted me when I was halfway to him.
"Alright, now why am I here?" Tony asked impatiently.
I laughed quietly. "It's been too long Tony."
He frowned. "Can we cut through whatever act this is?"
I smiled sadly. "Surely you recognize the name. I literally used my middle name."
It was obvious that Tony was in disbelief, not wanting to believe it was true. "Prove it."
"Jessica Aphmau Phoenix-Odison." I started, noting his eyes widening. "Technically it's Jessica Aphmau Stark. When I got here I had Luka create the identity Aphmau Bravura."
"Wait so-" He started before I cut him off.
"Her and Loki are the only ones that know what happened that night other than Thor." I sighed, moving to sit on the bench. "He had pulled me aside and threatened me. What was I supposed to do? Stay there and watch as my friends and husband are killed? I prefer this, thanks."
Tony moved to sit next to me. "Wait so, the kid?"
I smiled sadly at him again, tears welling up in my eyes. "Alina Tony Stark. I didn't know if I'd ever be able to call her a Stark."
My father-in-law pulled my into a tight hug. "I'm going to murder your father."
I shook my head, pulling back and sniffling. "Just don't tell anyone about this. I mean, Loki and Luka are safe since they got me out of there but we both know Sly. He'd be here in a heartbeat if he found out."
"I'll tell you what," Tony smiled sadly at me. "Tomorrow I'll call a meeting with the Avengers minus Thor. Loki and Luka will be invited and we'll figure something out."
I huffed out a laugh. "Good luck getting my cousin to go."
"I think you'll find that I am willing to make exceptions." I heard a voice call out behind me. "Dad and I will be there, Stark."Luka's POV
I wasn't exactly excited about being in Stark Tower. I also knew that me and my father weren't exactly welcome there either as the moment the other Avengers walked in, they glared at us. I rolled my eyes, luckily already behind the bar, and poured myself a drink.
"Tony?" Natasha questioned. "What are they doing here?"
"Wow, it's almost like we can hear you and answer that ourselves." My dad commented, sarcasm dripping from his tone.
I raised an eyebrow. "Y'know dad, it's almost like they don't realize what kind of business we run."
Stark must've realized that this was where he should step in before things got ugly and took a physical step in between us. "Alright, I know that not all of us are on pleasant terms-"
"Understatement much." I commented dryly.
The other shot me a glare before continuing. "But. We need to talk about we're going to do about Jess and Thor."
The Avengers quickly went from being focused on me and my father to bombarding Stark with questions. I sighed and tuned them out, shooting my drink before pouring another. I did not need to be sober for this. After what had to be thirty minutes, I heard Stark call my name so I looked over and hummed.
"Anything you can tell us about why Thor did this?" He asked.
I barked out a laugh. "Well that one's obvious. He's never really liked Aph. Or Jess. Whatever you want to call her. His favorite has always been Jin. Jin? He gets jealous sometimes. Nothing against him, I can tell that he still cares for his sister, but she was always Auntie's favorite."
Loki sighed and rubbed his temples. "Unfortunately, I know more. Without an appearance from Jess for seven years, Jin becomes the heir to the throne of Asgard. Since they're now both of age to receive it, Jess can't fight the claim on the throne if she's allowed to see the Few again after the seven year period is up.""If?" Steve questioned, and clarified after getting nothing but a stare of confusion. "You said 'if she's allowed to see the Few again'."
The rest of the room murmured their own confusion as both of us sighed before my father answered. "Thor isn't an idiot. Well, kind of. But he knows that if Jess returns, the citizens could riot against Jin."
I snorted. "Not to mention that if and when people find out that he forced her to leave it'll blow up in his face."
Stark nodded. "Great. So what do we do?"
The room immediately looked to the two of us and I groaned. "Alright. Either we do what we've been doing and wait to see if Thor will let her go back or we get the Few into safe locations before exposing him. As long as Aphmau doesn't come in contact with any of the Few then that plan should work. The only wrench in that plan is Alina."
The Avengers mumbled their confusion and Tony made a noise of confusion. "Why would she be a problem? Careful with that answer, you're talking about my granddaughter."
I rolled my eyes but smiled nonetheless. "Yeah, yeah. The reason she'd be an issue is if Aph is going to come out of hiding for this. I image that she would in order for our words to hold any weight. Alina isn't old enough to be by herself and I don't trust anyone around her but Aphmau to actually be able to protect her. Sly could watch her but then we'd have to have Stark, myself, or dad move her. Aph can't since she can't see any of the few."
Stark nodded. "I would do it but I've only met her the once. Luka, you're probably the best bet. The rest of us can work on getting the Few into safe houses."
I nodded. The plan was pretty solid, only being a bit reliant on improvisation. The only person we still needed to run it by was Jess.Mmmmmmmm. What's this? A motivation to write something? Wack. I've been procrastinating on sleep for the past 2 hours so I'mma go do that. Stay in vegetables, eat your drugs, and don't do school.
