Trigger Warnings: Nausea, throwing up, pregnancy (let me know if I need to add anything)

Jess's POV:

Waking up in the morning, I immediately felt extremely nauseous. Running to the bathroom I started to vomit into the toilet. I heard footsteps running to where I was. I felt the hair being lifted out of my face as someone rubbed my back in a comforting way. After a bit I had calmed down and flushed the toilet. Luka grabbed wash cloth and wet it, pressing in to the back of my neck. She then grabbed another wet cloth and handed it to me. I looked at her with gratitude in my eyes.
She just smiled back, "If you need anything, let me know. I'm going to go shopping for some clothes for you later if you want to go. I'm going to go get some of my old clothes that should fit you."
I nodded an okay and take a moment to collect myself. Why did I feel so nauseous this morning? I felt like sobbing when I came to the logical conclusion. Am I pregnant? Oh Irene. Please let it not be true. Luka came back and handed me some clothes. It was a black tank top and a galaxy skirt with black shorts.
She turned to leave but I grabbed her hand, "Wait. Um, this is a really awkward question but could you get me a pregnancy test?"
Her eyes went wide but she nodded, "Of course, I should have one downstairs. Get changed and I'll be back in a minute."
I gave a small smile and she left, closing the door on her way out. I sighed and got up, taking the wash cloth off the back of my neck. I quickly tossed off the clothes I was wearing and put on the ones Luka gave me. As I pulled the skirt up, Luka came back in.
She smiled lightly at me, "Here you go cuz."
She left and I heard her footsteps go downstairs. And heard muffled talking as I started to take the pregnancy test. I could only assume the talking was Luka talking to Uncle Loki. A few minutes passed and I looked at the pregnancy test. I gasped and started sobbing. I was going to have his kid. He wouldn't ever know. How am I going to explain this to the child? In the back of my mind I heard the footsteps running up to where I am before I felt a pair of arms wrap around me. I couldn't really hear the muffled words of encouragement as I bawled my eyes out. I heard another set of footsteps and another pair of arms wrapped around me. Eventually I fell back asleep in two pairs of arms.

Luka's POV:

I was making another pot of coffee since it was around eight in the morning. I had just gotten off the phone with Jin, my cousin, and he had informed me that Jess was missing. I really needed to thank Dad for those acting lessons. I am a nocturnal being so being up the early in the morning was not a welcome sight. I had been planning out so things for Jess for her new identity. I had a ID for her mostly completed. All I needed was a fake name and photo. Everything else had been taken care of. As I was setting down the water cup I heard quick, heavy footfall upstairs followed by coughing and heaving. I quickly rushed upstairs, forgetting all about my coffee. I saw Jessica over the toilet. Poor woman. I quickly grabbed her hair and took the ponytail off of my wrist. I quickly put her hair in a messy bun. It was loose but it would work. I then grabbed two wash cloths. Wetting one of them and then wringing it out before draping it over the back of her neck. Neat parlor trick I learned. I took the other and wet it, leaving it on the counter. I went back to Jess and started rubbing comforting circles into her back. Eventually, her body stopped spasming and she flushed the toilet.
I smiled softly, "If you need anything, let me know. I'm going to go shopping for some clothes for you later if you want to go. I'm going to go get some of my old clothes that should fit you."
She nodded and I left to go get some clothes. Walking to my room I grabbed a black tank top that was a size or two too small and a galaxy skirt with black shorts. Walking quickly back I gave her the clothes.
I turned to leave but she grabbed my wrist, "Wait. Um, this is a really awkward question but could you get me a pregnancy test?"
My eyes shot wide but I nodded, "Of course, I should have one downstairs. Get changed and I'll be back in a minute."
I headed downstairs to the bathroom on the first floor. I had a ton of random things in my house since I helped Dad with his business. I ran the website we had as well as housing and shopping for people. Contrary to popular belief, it isn't just female clients. We actually have a fair share of men and children. Even so, I have a ton of random care things. I kept most of them in the downstairs bathroom. I opened up the drawer below the sink and grabbed a pregnancy test from the back. I debated calling Dad. On one hand, he'd be willing to help care for the kid and such. On the other hand, he's going to kill Thor over this. I decided I'd call him after I gave her the test. I knocked as I opened the door, smiling as I saw that the outfit fit her.
I handed her the test, "Here you go cuz."
She looked troubled so I just left her to take the test. I closed the door and dialed my dad's number.
He picked up almost immediately, "Hey, what's up? Not a great time but go ahead and say anything."
My eyes widened, people were listening to his end of the conversation but I would be clear to say anything. "Jess might be pregnant."
"WHAT?! Who's the father? You never told me you were dating someone!"
Ah, a good cover. Until people find out I'm not actually pregnant.
I chuckled darkly, "Yeah, she asked for a pregnancy test after a bout of morning sickness. If you can, head over."
As soon as I said that I heard a sob upstairs. I hung up and rushed upstairs. I threw open the door and rushed over to Jessica's side. I saw the positive pregnancy test in her hands so I hugged her. I started telling her little things like 'Its going to be okay' and 'We will get through this'. At some point I heard more footfall and saw Dad come in and hug Jess as well. At some point she must have passed out from exhaustion. I don't blame her. I picked her up and carried her to the bed. When I walked back out of her room to see Loki seething with rage.
He started whisper-yelling, "I swear to Irene, I will wring my brother's neck for this. How dare he split up a family for his selfish purposes! I am going to make his life hell for the rest of our lives until Ragnarok." He then turned his attention to me. "What are we going to do? Jess just lost her entire life and is going to have a child to remind her of everything she had to run from!"
I put my hands on his shoulder, "Dad, we'll figure this out. If she wants to keep the child, that's her choice. You need to go back and get people off my back. I got a call from Jin this morning. That can't continue to happen."
He nodded and sighed, "Alright. Alright. They don't think I did it based on my reaction when Jin broke the news to me. They know I know something else though."
I gave him a mischievous smile. "Tell someone. One of them."
He looked up, shocked. "A-what?"
I smirked, "Tell one of them that Thor wanted her gone. You don't have to say anything more. Just that you know Thor has told you that he didn't like her and thought Jin should be more powerful than her."
He slowly came around to the idea, "Luka you brilliant child you."
I chuckled, "I'm 25 Dad."
He laughed, "I'll be back, wait. No, probably shouldn't come back."
I smiled, "Be safe."
He smiled back and teleported away. I chuckled to myself a bit more, feeling a wave of exhaustion crash over me. Knowing that I couldn't just take a nap, I went back and grabbed the pot of coffee from the other room.

I heard some noises from upstairs followed by a door opening. I smiled and walked over to the stairs. Jess had a hand on her stomach and the other on the railing.
"Feeling better?" I called out.
She nodded a bit. "Yeah, I don't feel like I'm going to hurl at least."
This was going to be a sore subject.
I smiled lightly, "Alright, I'll start some breakfast and we can talk identity.
I walked back in the kitchen and started some french toast. She sat down at the bar.
I looked over quickly, "So, name?"
"Aphmau." She responded.
I sighed, "Middle names and Asgardian names are harder to get away with but fret not, it's not impossible. You have around two years before they'll even think to look under that name. Last name?"
I saw her smile, "Bravura."
I smirked, "Original. Good. It'll make it even harder to find you. Now, career?"
She sounded confused, "I, I don't know if that's a good thing for me to be doing right now."
I nodded, "I completely agree. However, once the kid is born you're going to need a job. I can set you up with almost anything."
She thought about in for a minute, "A police officer."
I smiled, chuckling under my breath. "Something told me that's what you'd say. Well, I have some friends I can introduce you to. One is currently looking for a roommate. I will cover all expenses. In the mean time, come up with an excuse as to why you're going to be a single mom."
I looked over to see her nod, tears forming in the corner of her eyes. "Well, I could say we got into a really bad fight."
I sighed, "So you moved halfway across the world to avoid him?"
She sighed, "You're right. Um, how about he died in a horrible accident and I couldn't stay where I was."
I was impressed, "Alright. I'll let Dad know next time he calls." Breakfast was done so I put it on a plate for her. "Now, Coffee?"
