*BONUS PART!!! tw: James & Carter*

Her POV //

I waited until Miles left for work to go into the bathroom.

I don't know for sure, but I think it's true.

The bathroom draw had three tests in it, all faint lines. I never bothered to hide them; Miles doesn't look through.

I'll wait for these tests and if the line is darker, I can tell him.

I had put the packaging over it, scared to even see a hint of it until the timer buzzed.

We could potentially have a baby here with us by the end of this year. A mix of Miles and me.

My phone vibrated on the counter, startling me. It was the timer and texts.

Dan (James' Lawyer): I need to know if you're willing to meet.
Me: fine.

Sofia: Do you want me to take over today?
Me: Ma'am you are heavily pregnant. I already have someone else covering

Okay, stop stalling and check Aria.

I picked it up, almost dropping it as soon as those two pink lines registered. I turned to the digital one, 'Pregnant'

"Holy fucking shit" I whispered, sitting back down.

I'm pregnant, I'm actually pregnant.

Another alarm began blaring, letting me know I needed to head to Constantine industries.

I guess cussing at James would calm my nerves before telling Miles.

The entire drive consisted of me trying to process the fact that I'm pregnant. It doesn't feel real.

Getting onto the elevator made me feel quite nauseous, holding onto my stomach until it stopped.

I could see him already, that smug look on his face as Carter sat beside him.

"Gentlemen... and those two" I greeted, sitting across from them.

They scoffed, turning to Dan who cleared his throat.

I'm in a room surrounded by men, clearly one of James' tactics to scare me.

"James sees that Carter is the appropriate fit for the position unless you would like to" Dan explained, placing a file in front of me.

A contract to work with Constantine industries, fuck no.

I shook my head, pushing it away.

"Your little bakery can only get you so far but not enough for retirement. I've seen the prices, a free library and cheap ass coffee? It's childish, I taught you better than that" James spoke smugly.

I tented my hands against the table, eyeing everyone in the room.

"James, you simply taught me how to be a selfish prick which I didn't catch on to. I don't give two fucks about profit when I'm already sitting on so much money already. From the time I was eight, I began saving, I'm set for life - many lifetimes actually" I glared at him.

He turned to Carter, sharing a bitter laugh. "Aw princess, how much?" Carter teased.

I faked a laugh, flipping my finger at him. "Enough to buy this stupid company"

Dan tapped the table, trying to ease the tension suffocating the room.

"Aria, please. Look write down on here what salary you expect, and we can make it happen" he pleaded, placing a notepad and pen in front of me.

I hummed, taking out my own pen, flashing the logo 'Alexander & Sons' right in their faces.

I scribbled down, handing it over to Dan who glanced at it then immediately sighed.

"How much?" James asked, grabbing the paper as I held in my laughter.

'Fuck you' written over it.

They both glanced at me, clearly irritated which only amused me.

"Can you be serious please?" Dan pleaded once again.

They're naïve if they think I could take James seriously.

I wrote on it again, folding it into a simple aeroplane and gliding right over to James himself.

He hurriedly unfolded it as Carter and Dan glanced over.

'My childhood back' It read out.

I was having so much fun with this, I couldn't hold in my laughter anymore.

James slammed his hands on the desk, seething.

"Look Aria, I gave you rights and shares to this company so either sign them back to me or do what you were born to do and take-over" he exclaimed, sliding another file to me.

I opened it up, skimming through it as they watched in anticipation. I could tell they thought I would never sign it.

I signed all the slots, sending it back to James and leaving the room.

There was a lot of yelling already happening, silence once the door finally shut.

He will never be able to take over my life again, to put me on a leash and bark orders.

All I needed was to see my Miles.

The staff were all lovely and greeted me as I went up to Miles' office. This is when I'll tell him.

The doors to his office were shut, they always were.

I heard muffling on the other end, so I opened it gently, he was on the phone to someone, laughing.

Either Theo or Mason. "Okay dumbass, I gotta go" He chuckled.

It was Mason, he never called Theo that.

"Hey Angel, how did it go?" He asked, pulling me into his arms.

I hummed, kissing his jaw before telling him all about it. I think part of me was stalling so I wouldn't have to tell him, but he picked up quickly.

"I'm pregnant" I blurted, covering my mouth.

His eyes widened, hearing those two words leave my mouth.

I didn't know what to expect from him, excitement or disappointment but that all eased once he picked me up.

"We're having a baby? for real?" he exclaimed, smiling so wide.

He's excited. I'm excited.

I nodded, feeling his lips press against my cheeks.

"I took a few tests two days ago and they were so faint, i was worried but this morning it was clear as day! the digital test, oh look" I rambled excitedly, taking it out of my bag.

We both looked down at it, feeling so much adrenaline fuel my body.

"Umm guys?" A voice spoke Miles' phone.

We froze, turning to see that Mason was still on the line.

"I'LL KEEP IT A SECRET I SWEAR BUT OH MY GOD THE BROTHERHOOD EXPANDS" His voice boomed through the phone.

Miles glanced at me, worried but it was far from ruining the moment, it was making this even more special.

He knelt down in front of me, hands on my stomach, gently caressing it. "It's the three of us, little sunshine"
