Her POV //
I sat on the kitchen counter, waiting for Theo to get back to ours so we could head to my dad's.
Miles walked in, tilting his head at me as he stood between my legs.
"Fun fact octopuses have three hearts" He said, rubbings my thighs lightly.
I smiled, admiring our own thing. Using fun facts to make each other smile and calm us down.
He glanced at the glass of water beside me, smirking.
Before I could even ask he kissed me hungrily, pulling me closer to him, closing the gap between us.
I gasped, feeling a cold sensation slide up my collarbone to my neck. He pulled away, putting the ice in his mouth.
I wondered what he was doing and where he was going with his but it felt good.
I saw him unclench his jaw before connecting his lips to my neck, making me gasp again.
His mouth was cold, his tongue... I couldn't handle it.
I pushed myself closer, feeling him throb against me as his lips met mine.
The kiss was cold and something about it drove me crazy. I needed him, right now.
We were interrupted by the doorbell ringing, making me groan. Miles chuckled, lifting me off the table, making sure I could feel him against me.
"Fucking tease" I muttered as we left the house, getting into Theo's car.
I'll get him back, and just walk away. Actually, I don't know if I can do that.
Once we got to Constantine Industries, I used my fingerprint to get through security as the guys trailed along behind me.
We went up the elevator to the top floor, standing in silence in our own thoughts.
The doors opened to a crowd of people, mostly females talking before turning to us.
"Jesus Christ" Miles grunted, putting his arms around my waist.
I looked around, spotting Carter with Kate on his lap but other than them, I had no idea who these girls were.
"Hi Miles" the girls purred as we walked through, until I saw Lena walk out of my fathers office and it hit me.
This was some attempt to meddle with my life again.
"Oh, Mr Constantine, your daughter's here" Lena spoke loudly, glancing at Theo weirdly.
She turned to Miles, smirking at him. "You remember these girls, don't you Miles?"
All of them smirked at him, waving flirtatiously.
I was standing in a room surrounded by all the girls Miles has fucked. James has no idea what's coming for him.
"Lena shut the fuck up and go sort out some files" I cursed, hearing gasps around the room.
I rolled my eyes before turning to Theo and Miles, "You guys sit out here um, I guess come in when we start screaming" I instructed, seeing their worried eyes.
Lena was still standing there so I kissed Miles, flipping her off as he smiled against the kiss.
She scoffed, storming away. Good, now to let hell loose.
I pushed opened the office doors, seeing my father sitting at his throne with a smug look on his face. "Now that's no way to speak to my assistant" He scoffed.
I gasped sarcastically, putting my hand over my chest. "I'm so sorry, I'll make sure to just punch her in the face next time. Actions speak louder than words huh" I mocked.
He clenched his jaw, clearly already frustrated with me.
"And nice show out there, bringing people Miles and I have been with, it's refreshing to see all the people I came out on top over, thanks for the ego boost dad" I grinned, putting my fist out toward him.
I was having too much fun seeing him be put in his place.
"Aria Constantine, you're my daughter. You have no right speaking to me like this" He scolded, pouring himself a scotch. Him and his fucking alcohol.
I fake laughed, "Okay well maybe when you start acting like my father and less like a high school mean girl, I'll think about it" I rebutted, feeling myself get angry.
His fists whitened as he held onto the glass, as if it were going to break right in his hand. I watched him take a deep breath, opening his draw, placing a file and cheque on the table.
"A new contract with Constantine Industries, taking over for me when I retire in a month and a million dollar bonus" He explained, I almost fainted.
Is he being serious, after everything he still expects me to take over for him. That money would lure me into his trap?
I grabbed the cheque, seeing a smirk appear on his face until I ripped it into pieces.
"I'm clearly not your daughter, James. I'm not a money, power hungry monster who would rather ruin their family for a company than just fucking be there" I said, as if my words were laced with venom, piercing his heart. Not that he has one.
"You're going to regret this Aria, think it through" He spoke sternly, pulling out his cheque book.
I shook my head, in disbelief of the monster in front of me.
"If anyone's going to regret this, it's you. I'm done, James. I'm doing being your daughter. When i get married, you're not walking me down the aisle. When I have children, don't even think about visiting. And if I ever call you in a moment of weakness, decline it" I exclaimed, feeling my chest tighten as tears rolled down my cheeks.
My father was unaffected, standing there with no ounce of sympathy.
"You are a nobody without me" He yelled, throwing his glass across the room hearing it shatter on the floor.
The doors burst open, Miles and Theo were ready for war. I looked our father who looked at Theo in shock.
"What the fuck did you just say to my sister?" Theo spat, rolling up his sleeves.
The showdown between the two men of my family. The day we all knew would come yet dreaded. Theo was finally old enough to fight back, to put James in his place.
