Part 14

The next day Sirius woke up before Remus and laid next to him for a while.
"Hi baby. How'd you sleep?" Sirius asked as Remus woke up, yawning slightly.
"I slept okay. How about you?" Remus asked in response, looking a bit down from what happened yesterday.
"Same. Are you okay from yesterday?"  Sirius asked as the two sat up, and Sirius was holding Remus' face gently.
"Yeah, I'm alright. I'm gonna try to do better today." Remus muttered sadly.
Sirius hunched over slightly and kissed Remus on the forehead.
"Please don't stress yourself out about it. You're doing so good." Sirius whispered as he hugged Remus.
"I'll try. Thanks for being patient with me." Remus replied putting his head in the crook of Sirius' neck.
"It's not a problem. Don't feel like a bother. You're my boyfriend and you don't realize how much you matter." Sirius said kissing his cheek.
"You're so cute." Remus whispered as Sirius kissed his neck softly.
"You're so sweet." Sirius whispered against his skin with a slight grin.

About an hour later the three went down to breakfast.

Euphemia came out of the kitchen with food for the three of them, but also a smoothie for Remus so he didn't get overwhelmed.
"T-Thanks." Remus said embarrassed putting his head down slightly while Sirius rubbed his back in attempt to comfort him.

After breakfast the three sat in the living room, Remus sitting on the couch while Sirius and James attempted to play a muggle card game, and failed horribly.
"How the fuck do you even do this?" Sirius shouted, Euphemia shouting "language!" from the kitchen in response.
"Love, the cards are upside down." Remus pointed out from the couch.

Remus pulled out his book a couple minutes later and began to read since he was bored, and it had been raining out all day.
"Hey baby." Sirius said with a smile as he sat on the couch next to Remus and James went to the kitchen to get a drink.
"Hi love." Remus replied putting his book down as Sirius leaned in to kiss him.
Remus grabbed both sides of Sirius' face while Sirius had a hand on Remus' chin.
The two pulled away from the kiss and Remus sat with his legs across Sirius' lap.
When James came back from the kitchen he handed both Remus and Sirius a cup of tea and sat down next to Sirius.

The three talked for a while and it was almost 5:30 when Euphemia called them to the table for dinner.

They all sat at the table and Euphemia brought out plates of a variety of food. The two main dishes being fish and pork. Remus panicked, realizing he hadn't explained his diet to James' mum. He sat looking down not knowing what to say. He felt like a fool for forgetting to explain how eating Kosher worked.

"What's wrong Remus?" James whispered once his mother and father were gone.
"I can't eat any of this." Remus replied with a bit of a grin.
"Why can't you?" Sirius asked in response.
"None of it's Kosher." Remus replied leaning back in his chair slightly.
"Oh my god, I forgot to explain that to my mum. I'm so sorry, I'll go tell her right now." James said getting up to go inform his mother when Remus grabbed his wrist.
"No. Please don't. I've already had a bunch of issues with eating here, I don't want her to hate me." Remus replied while James was still standing.
"Remus. This is part of your religion, she won't be mad because you won't eat non-Kosher foods." James said reasonably.
"Fine. Go I guess." Remus replied picking at his fingers from nerves.

James went to the kitchen where his mother and father were speaking.
"Hello hun. What's wrong?" Euphemia asked concerned as to why he was in there.
"Mum, I know you probably didn't know this- and that's totally alright- but Remus can't eat like any of the food that you made." James replied feeling guilty.
"Why?" Euphemia asked with a concerned look on her face.
"Pork and fish aren't Kosher." James said scratching the back of his neck.
"Oh my god! I completely forgot Remus was Jewish. Can you please go tell him I'm sorry and ask him what he can eat?" Euphemia replied looking terrified.
