Eren sat at his desk, playing video games on his computer. Eren had completely forgotten that he had to get up and bring his bags to his college and unpack. He was up until 2:00 A.M when he finally realized he was only going to get 4 hours of sleep.
" Shit! "
Eren took off his headphones, quickly changing and hoping into bed before falling asleep quickly. It felt as if it had only been a few minutes when he heard beeping from besides him, causing him to jump.
He groaned, slamming his hand down on his alarm clock. He soon smelled pancakes and jumped up quickly. He ran downstairs smiling as he went to the kitchen.
" Morning, Eren! " Carla said.
" Morning, Mom! "
Eren sat down and eagerly waited at the counter for his pancakes, happily watching. While doing so, he had a memory of... him standing next to her while she smiled and cooked something, but he couldn't see it because of his small height for a child in that.. different world.
The different world... is where giant monsters that took humans for prey and only humans. The Titans. Humanity had built walls to protect themselves from those monsters. In that world, Eren had friends. And he knew that they were in this world with him, he just had to find them. How? He had no idea. But he was going to find out.
Back to his pancakes- Carla out the fresh plate of breakfast in front of him with a fork and a syrup bottle.
" Thanks, Mom! " Eren said, immediately digging in.
Carla smiled and nodded at Eren. " Had to do something special before you leave me for college.. "
Eren laughed, all his tiredness fading away quickly. Eren finished his pancakes within a matter of minutes, he was going to wash his plate but Carla told him she'd do it, so he ran back up to his room thanking her and looked in his bathroom mirror.
He had a bed head, some hair strands sticking up, and he looked like he had been drooling. He put his hair back in a man bun and went to choose his outfit.

Eren was fairly happy with his choice and went to shower, realizing he shouldn't have put his hair up and snapped the rubber band he used taking his man bun out, rolling his eyes he got back in the shower and his mom started calling him when he was relaxing in the warm water, which suddenly because cold so he quickly washed his hair and got out.
" Mom! Did you use all the hot water or something?! " Eren yelled.
" No, it was probably your father! He was here while you were asleep! " Carla responded.
Eren's father, Grisha, was barely ever around. He was a doctor, a popular one. He would travel around the state- and out- just to help out people. It was usually rich people from out of state. He was always booked up. So Eren usually never saw his father. And those rare times were nice when he did see him, so he felt a bit bad he didn't get to see his father.
