I open my eyes, blinking as I find Jace lying beside me still asleep. Bringing my hand to his cheek I watch as he stirs but doesn't wake. I turn on my side watching him as he sleeps. A stray hair falls in front of his face. I smile, tucking it behind his ear.
I can't believe he is here. When I left I never dreamed that I would see him again. I hated that the angels took my memories but the way it went down, I wouldn't have changed any of it. Killing Johnathan saved everyone, even if it caused me to lose everything.
Jace opens his eyes, blinking a few times. He smiles, moving his hand to my cheek.
"Morning." I smile, pushing my self up on my elbow.
"Morning." He stares at me like I'm going to disappear.
"What is it?"
"I keep thinking that if I blink you'll disappear." I lean into his hand smiling.
"I'm not going anywhere." I lean down, kissing him. He holds my head as we lay their kissing.
We are interrupted by my phone. Breaking the kiss I turn onto my back, grabbing my phone. Realizing it's not on my side table. I crawl out of bed, crossing the room to the kitchen. Taking it out of my bag I glance down at it. Frowning I see three messages from Eric.
"What is it?" Jace calls from the bed. I turn walking back to him. I sit down on the edge as Jace sits up, placing his hand on my knee.
"Eric, the guy you saw." I open the messages.
Morning, what time should we meet for coffee?-Eric, 8:32am
Are you up?-Eric 8:55am
Answer the phone!-Eric 9:03am
I frown at the last one. Looking at the clock I see it is only five minutes after nine. I am about to answer his messages when his caller id comes on. I answer it, placing it to my ear.
"Hello." Jace frowns as I hold my hand up.
"Where are you? I thought we were meeting for coffee?" He says, angrily. I have never heard him speak this way. He is always happy and calm.
"I'm sorry." Jace tries to take the phone but I manage to slide off the bed. "Last night was exhausting. I over slept. Can I meet you in half an hour?"
He sighs. "Fine. I'll be at our usual shop. Don't be late." I am about to speak when he ends the call. Lowering my phone I glance back at Jace.
"Was that the guy?" He asks, sliding off the bed, pulling his pants on.
"Yes. I promised I would meet him for coffee this morning. Totally forgot. Now I have half an hour to get ready and meet him." I start to gather some clothes as Jace puts on his boots.
"What about us? Shouldn't we talk about what happened?" I glance over my shoulder at him as I put on a black top. Turning to face him I slide on some dark blue jeans before sitting on the bed to put my boots on.
"Yes we should but first I need to deal with Eric. Last night I knew that I would have to break up with him." I sit up, staring at him as he makes his way to me, shirtless, very distracting. "If we are to be together again I have to make sure that nothing comes in our way." I stand up as he wraps his arms around me.
"Would you protest if I ask to come?" I open my mouth to speak but he continues. "I'll be glamoured." I close my mouth, bitting my lip before nodding. He smiles kissing me quickly before walking back to his shirt.
We finish getting ready before making our way out of the apartment. I watch as Jace uses his stele to glamour himself. He keeps pace with me, his hand hovering near mine as we make our way down the street.
