AS SOON AS SIRIUS stepped into the room of Regulus', Regulus stood and walked over to his brother.
as he stepped closer, a big purplish-black bruise could be seen right below Sirius' eye. a busted lip to come with it.
'i'm sorry,' Regulus said in a quiet tone. not only because he didn't want his parents to hear, but also because he was frightened. well, to say the least.
the fact their parents were capable of such a thing scared him more than learning how to swim.
'this isn't your fault, Reg,' the older brother sat on the floor as he brought his knees up to his chest for comfort.
Regulus sat beside him, 'but it is. i knew that mother and father wouldn't be happy with you disappearing the whole time during church; yet i still let you go. now look at you. all beaten. tomorrow is a Monday, how're you going to explain this to your teachers?'
'don't worry so much about it. no matter how many reasons you give it still wouldn't be your fault. i was the one who made the decision to not go to church, only me. not you. besides, i'm quite used to it by now. nothing some good makeup skills can't fix.
