The world ended a month ago. That's when it started to end anyway, that's when it was at its worst. Terro, an A-Rank villain with the power of controlling minor natural disasters, had a really bad day a month ago. Their partner was killed in front of them, by a hero (of course), and then the world ended. First it was the volcanoes, not all of them erupted, just those big ones that live underwater off the coast. That's what started the tsunamis, every coast was underwater within ten minutes, though some have started to dry out since then. Most will argue that the hurricanes is when it got really bad, that was about a day in, though a good argument could be made for the simultaneous earthquakes. All of that goes without mentioning the wildfires, drought, cyclones, and even extreme and quick changing temperatures that had occurred in the following week.
Most of it had calmed down by now, though most people were dead or in hiding in some governmental safe house by now as well. The tornadoes still ripped through at night and the fires were still being drowned out by the storms, but otherwise the world was just- empty. Other than the select few.
For all Morgan knew the select few was just them, but they liked to think maybe someone else was still walking the -cracked, overgrown and simultaneously scorched- sidewalks out here. They honestly had no idea how they were still living after everything had happened. On the first day, their building went down, but out of sheer luck they were out getting the ingredients for some more 'blood of my enemies' when that happened. After that they ran to their headquarters (a small warehouse on the side of town) and tried to contact their team to see if everyone was ok. No one responded. Morgan could only hope that they packed up and got out of the city, though they knew better than that. The warehouse had been stocked with enough food to last for a couple months, and that kept Morgan warm and fed for about three weeks, then heroes showed up. The commandeered Morgan's stash and warehouse to 'house civilians in need', but Morgan hadn't seen anyone but those damn heroes in there since.
Presently it is a week later, and they are walking straight towards the last place on the planet they would ever want to be. The bigger than a hero's ego, ugly as hell skyscraper that The Fairness Association once called home base. The goal and only reason they would dare setting foot within a mile of the shithole: they were trying to find files on already dead heros to see if any of the deceased had unknown bases or safe houses nearby that they could hold up in for a while. Not their best plan but, if they found a good place they could be set for months, they just had to get in and get out. Embers were stomped out under their boots as they walked up and stood at the base of the unfallen and abandoned building. They thought it might be comforting, maybe even exciting to see it abandoned. But even burned and beaten, it still sent chills through their spine. 'Please collapse right now, please collapse right on top of me so I never step in this building.' They thought as they stepped slowly through the threshold.
The apocalypse is boring. So. Extremely. Boring. Alex was fully aware that they were only bored because they were functionally immortal, but that didn't stop them from complaining. Honestly, they might have stopped it all by now if Terro hadn't buried them self in a random volcano somewhere where no one could find them, that just seemed like too much work just to end the apocalypse. So all Alex did now was sit in their pretty, untouched, intimidating mountain cliff lair, watching the city from afar. They discovered pretty early on that it was only interesting to take a nice, calming walk in the city if a hero was lurking about. Most of the fun ones had flown off to protect civilians in safe houses though, and targeting those little havens of peace just felt like shooting fish in a barrel after a while. So they sat at their desk every day and watched the city cameras, just waiting for someone interesting to make an appearance and give them something to do.

Fiksi PenggemarThis was written in one night for hostage negotiations and it is my first ever fan fiction. Its meant to be post apocalyptic but it kinda went a different direction, but it still counts!
