"Gaara!"
I whined and wrapped my arms around his neck. Currently, I was standing next to his chair as he did lame Kazekage work.
"Come ooonnn! Leave work for the day and come hang out with meee!"
I pleaded my best friend.

Gaara sighed.
"Get off me."
He mumbled, not taking his eyes off of the paperwork. I huffed and moved around, sliding into his lap.
"(Name)!"
He growled.

I giggled softly. I know it's a crazy thing to do, hanging into Gaara in such a way, but he wouldn't hurt me.
"Come on. Please? Just for a little bit!"
I pulled a puppy dog pout, sniffling softly to sell it.

He closed his eyes as he rubbed his temples.
"When is Kankuro getting back?"
He asked.

"Hmmm, a few hours from now."

"Why didn't he take you on the mission with him?"
He asked.

I shrugged.
"Dunno. But could you hang out with me until he comes back?"

"I have work to do, (Name). I would if I had the time."
Gaara said.
"Now get off me, please."
I sighed and got up from his lap.
"Maybe if you did you job as my assistant, the work would go faster.."
He told me.

"Eh. I'm suppose to serve you, not fill out boring paperwork."
I shrugged.
"I'll just go wait for him at the house!"
I waved, slipping out of the office.
"I'll eat any cookies I'll find!"

"Touch my cookies and I'll tell Kankuro."
I heard back. My cheeks burned a deep crimson.

"Stupid panda bear. Hogging all the damn cookies."
I mumbled.
"Knowing all my secrets and stuff."

"(Name)."
A voice called. I groaned, swatting at the hand that shook my body.
"(Naaammmee)."
The annoying voice said again. It shook me harder. I ignored it.

My eyes suddenly open wide as I felt someone put all their weight on me. Only one person brave enough, or dumb enough, to do it though.
"Get off me, Kankuro."
I whined. Normally, I'd just kick him off, but I was tired.

"Well I did try to wake up politely."
He had a smug grin on his face. He put more weight on me, smirking. I growled, and threw him off me, pinning him down to wall with a kunai against his neck.

"Why wake me at all?"
I pouted.
"I like sleep, you know."

He snickered, holding his hands up in defeat.
"Well for starters, you were asleep in my bed."

"You have the most comfortable bed."

"I know. Thats why I like it."
He chuckled.
"Secondly, I wanted to tell you about the super top secret, hush hush, never tell a soul or die mission!"
He grinned excitedly.

My eyes perked up and I grew excited. I stepped away from him, now jumping up and down.
"Really?!"
I squeaked.
"How was it? Did you have to fight a lot of ninjas?! Or protect a princess! Or-"

Kankuro laughed at my eagerness.
"It wasn't really a mission. I just told everyone that because I didn't want anyone to butt in and ruin it."
He said.

I rose my eyebrow in curiosity.
"Ruin what?"

"My date."
He grinned, proudly.

I smiled happily, though inside my heart broke. Thats why he didn't take me.
"Really?! Who'd be dumb enough to date you?!"
I teased, crossing my arms over my chest.
