You didn't know how long since the night had fallen, the sky that was painted in orange and purple was a distant dream. The canvas that was so vividly enthralling, as if it had been soak in black paint it had turned obsidian with stars that seem to be blinking in the distance.

You had no destination in mind, you just let Eren drive down the freeway to heaven knows where. The window on your side rolled down letting the breeze flow in and you noticed a hill ahead. When the car slowed down you realized Eren had taken you to a place overlooking the cityscape, with lights in the distance from the Metropolis.

"Are we still in Tokyo?" you asked when you two got at the hill. There are fences at the edge, wooden bench for travelers to rest you supposed.

"What do you think?"

"I don't know, I've never been to a place like this before," you said, walking near the edge. You have realized then that there are certain things that are more beautiful when admired at a distance, but you also feel a sense of loneliness knowing that they are far away from you.

"We're in the western part of Tokyo," Eren said, walking up to you and standing beside that you can see him from your peripheral vision. "This place is famous during festivals, but other than that when it's not the holidays, it's usually empty like this."
