Bucky held up the advert he placed in the paper, it was his copy that he wrote, on the notebook behind the desk. He had covered it in scribbles and doodles, he explained to the crowd how this advert had brought this person into his life and how he couldn't be more grateful. Next, he pulled out some long pasta tubes and Sam laughed in the background, Bucky looked up smiling, his confidence finally making an appearance. "We read somewhere that pasta was a good alternative to wooden stirrers, I can't even tell you the number of packs we went through before we settled on wooden stirrers again. We decided to try and find other ways to save the environment."
Sam heckled him from the crowd and Bucky hushed him, pulling out a t-shirt and telling the crowd how Sam had to borrow it one day when a tired student spilt a cold brew down him. He gave them the whole story, laughing when he remembered the shocked gasp he made as the icy drink hit him. Lastly, he pulled out the photo of the two of them in front of the store on their first day.
Taking a drink to steady his nerves, Bucky looked out to the crowd and found Sam. "Just in case it wasn't obvious Sam, it's you. I've liked you since the first meeting when you came in and unashamedly showed me your passion for coffee." He watched as Sam shifted uncomfortably in his seat, his stomach dropped and Bucky thought he had messed up big time.
☕️☕️
Sam stared at the stage in shock. All he ever wanted was Bucky to tell him he liked him too but now that he had, panic ran through him. What if he wasn't good enough for him? What if Bucky only wanted him because neither of them had much time for anything else and he was simply, convenient?
He realised the pause had sent the wrong message and Sarah practically pushed him out of his seat towards the stage. He walked over a little too quickly, a nervous smile on his face as he climbed up next to Bucky, he gently grabbed his face and pulled him in for a soft kiss. Sarah cheered and shouted "FINALLY" into the room. The audience giggled and went back to their chats as Sam and Bucky stepped off the stage, Bucky pulled them through the crowd towards his desk spinning around and taking a deep breath.
"Are you ok?" Bucky asked, a worried look on his face. Sam held his face again and nodded, a soft smile on his face as he told him how he was going to tell him the same thing once he had the courage.
They sat down on the desk and just looked at each other smiling, a nervous excitement buzzing between them both. There were a few more people due up on stage before the night was over and Sarah came over and told them she would handle the rest of the night if they wanted to escape for a little bit. Bucky thanked her and pulled Sam upstairs to his apartment.
Sam hadn't seen much of his apartment, he had only been up here for a few minutes when he needed to borrow one of Bucky's t-shirts. He looked around and wasn't surprised to see piles of books in every available space. He picked up one of the books off the table and saw Bucky was using a note as the bookmark. Opening it to the page, he smiled when he found his handwriting scribbled on an old receipt, he turned over the paper in his hands, a warm feeling spreading through him as he realised Bucky was keeping things the same way he did.
Bucky came up behind him and wrapped his arms around his waist, leaning his chin on Sam's shoulder. He gently kissed his neck, grabbing the book, throwing it on the sofa and turning Sam round. "I love that I can finally do this." Bucky ran his fingers down Sam's back as he kissed down his neck, mapping the spots he'd remember forever, pulling out little moans and whines as he sucked and nibbled.
"Such pretty noises for me, should have done this sooner." Sam could only hum in response, his mind was already cloudy, no one had managed to have this effect on him so quickly and just from kissing. He lifted Bucky's chin and pulled his face in close, resting his forehead against Bucky's and smiling.
He walked them back to the sofa, pushing Bucky down with a thump before straddling his lap. They just sat staring at each other for a moment, Sam smiled as he watched Bucky licking his lips before biting the bottom one and releasing it with a pout. Sam leaned in and nibbled on it, sucking it into his own mouth before grinding into his lap and moaning.
Bucky gripped his hips and guided Sam over his thigh, helping him move back and forth. "Fuck" Sam moaned out, "Too many clothes, need to feel you." Bucky leaned back and smirked up at him, tilting his head and just watching him for a moment before shaking his head slowly.
Sam tried to lift Bucky's t-shirt, but Bucky just gripped his wrists and pulled them up, kissing Sam's palms and smiling. "Not yet, let me take you out for a date. I want to show you I want you for more than just sex." Sam knew he was right but it didn't stop him from feeling frustrated and trying to move his hips again. Bucky moved his hands down and grabbed his hips once more to stop him, leaning forward and whispering in his ear.
"Be a good boy for me and I'll make it worth your while."
