(Aphmau POV)

I sighed looking up at the ceiling, it was morning but it was also the last time I'd be sleeping in Zanes bed with him, I frowned. I rolled when I felt Zane move and saw him sit up rubbing the sleep from his eyes, I smiled and sat up to kiss his cheek.

"Good morning my love" I said sweetly whispering into his ear, he turned and smiled at me softly before kissing my lips.

"Good morning, how's you sleep" he asked as I moved to sit next to him. I laid my head on his shoulder and nodded feeling his warmth.

"I slept well next to you" I said, just then there was a knock on the door and a small maid entered.

"My lord, I have lady Zara's clothes you requested" she said setting them on the dresser and then exiting the room. I frowned and I knew Zane sensed this because he pulled me into a tight hug.

"It's ok we'll see each other soon" he said petting my hair, I nodded and stood fighting the urge to jump into his arms and stay there. I grabbed the clothes and put them on. It was a black jumpsuit with holes in the knees and straps wrapping around my breasts and up my neck, it was cute and sparkled a bit. Zane came up behind me and smiled.

"Do you need help?" He asked pointing to the other piece which was a long teal robe like jacket and a tan wrap to keep it from falling off. Zane slipped it over my arms and onto my shoulders and then wrapped the wrap around my waist tying it tight for me. It was beautiful, I turned to Zane and kissed him softly.

"I'm going to miss you so much" I said, a tear falling from my eye. He wiped it away and kissed my cheek.

"I know I'll miss you to, I'll see you off darling" he said taking my hand, I nodded and we left his room. I stopped by my old room and grabbed my things as well as the black Crystal from Zane which I tucked into the wrap on my waist I wanted it close to me so I could talk to Zane. We walked to the stable where Zane helped me put my stuff in the saddle packs and then helped me on but not without giving me another kiss. We walked to the gate and the guards saluted him.

"Open the gate now!" He yelled, they guards nodded and the gates opened. I looked down at Zane as more tears fell, he had to keep up appearances so he just nodded but softly smiled at me.

"Let me know when you return" he said as kind as he could in front of his subordinates, I nodded and sniffled.

"Yes lord Zane, goodbye" I said, a tear fell from his eye as I rode off into the forest. The sound of the gate closing behind me. As I rode I cried and cried, I didn't want to leave him but I had to. I rode throughout the day before stopping in a clearing of trees to rest. My eyes hurt from crying but I took a deep breath and called Garroth.

G- Lady Aphmau what is it?

A- I'm almost back to the village Garroth

G- Really? How far are you I'll meet you!

A- No it's fine I'm in a clearing of trees I'll be back soon maybe an hour just make sure someone is at the gate for my arrival

G- Absolutely my lady see you soon

I put the crystal away and pulled out the one Zane gave me, it shimmered in the sun and reminded me of him which only hurt my heart more. I dragged my fingers along the smooth surface and it lit up.

A- H-hello?

Z- Zara

A- Zane, I miss you

Z- I know love I miss you to I wish you didn't have to leave and I'm so sorry if I seemed cold to you when you left

A- N-no no it's ok you had to with the guards there I understand, I'm almost back to the village I just needed to hear your voice
