Jerick/Kayle's House
After Jerick woke up from his five-year slumber he couldn't remember anything that had happened in the last seven years. His memories had been shattered to near sand in a manner of speaking. The memories he had of me were either splintered or shattered as well. Meaning he didn't even recognize me let alone remember me. Our daughter managed to restore his broken mind/memories to a point, but there were still parts that were not completely intact. Castella, a close friend of ours mistakenly slipped and mentioned his sister, which as you'd guess, caused him to collapse. It has been three weeks since then and he has yet to awaken.
"Kayle, pacing isn't going to help you know." States Marko as he watches Kayle.
"Do you blame me? I finally got to talk to him after five long years and then he suddenly faints." Retorts Kayle.
"Nora, can you talk some sense into her?" Asks Marko.
Looking away, Nora says "Sorry Marko, I'm staying out of this one."
"Seriously?!" Exclaims Marko.
Stopping in mid-stride Kayle asks "Is he okay?"
"He's fine. With the condition his mind is in, it's a miracle he was even able to wake up in the first place. I won't ask how you managed to pull it off, but he went into shock which caused him to faint. He was unable to accept parts of the memories he couldn't remember, so that was a trigger." Replies the doctor.
"Will he ever wake up?" Asks Marko.
"In a matter of time, he should. How long that'll be is a different story." Replies the Doctor.
Kayle thinks to herself "I could be another five years for all we know."
"I know that look, Kayle. I doubt it'll be that long." States Nora.
"I have a right to think that!" Snaps Kayle.
Under his breath, the doctor says to Marko "I see it's a sensitive subject. All I can say is be careful not to mention things that are potential triggers."
Nodding his head, Marko says in return "I'll keep that in mind. Thanks again, old friend."
Shaking Marko's hand, the doctor says "Any time."
"Kayle, Elizabeth's asleep in her room isn't she?" Asks Nora, as she gets up from the dining room table.
"She was the last time I looked. She's been tired a lot lately, so I've let her sleep as much as possible." Replies Kayle.
"I'll go check on her while you go see him." Says Nora with a smile.
"Thanks, Nora." Replies Kayle, as the two of them head in their respective directions.
Sitting at the bar, Marko thinks to himself "Keep any potential triggers from being said huh? That's going to be hard. Most of his memories have been restored thanks to his daughter, but the blank spots are what concern me the most. He fainted at the mention of his sister, so that would mean he doesn't remember her either. So, if I follow the timeline correctly, that would mean he doesn't remember the bite mark on his neck either. To put things in order, first was him meeting his sister, then the mark, Kayle conceiving, then us going on the run, their wedding, then the war, and finally, Jerick watches his sister die in front of him."
(Knock, knock, knock!)
Marko Stands up and walks to the door. Before he opens it he feels something strange, so he hesitantly opens it to find a woman on the other side.
"You must be Marko, Is Kayle available?" Asks the woman.
"You're a wolf, aren't you?" Asks Marko.
